The Ultimate Fall Bucket List

Leaves of red and orange fall from trees, sweater weather takes over and the best time of the year officially arrives. Yes, that’s right: It’s finally October, which means it’s time to soak in all of the activities fall has to offer. The 10th month of the year calls for 10 classic fall-themed activities to check off your bucket list.

1. Take a trip to a pumpkin patch and carve pumpkins

If you didn’t go to a pumpkin patch, did fall even happen? Going to a pumpkin patch is the most classic of all classic fall activities. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you get when you find the perfect pumpkin after searching through hundreds of average pumpkins. More importantly, what’s better than taking pictures with your perfect pumpkin? You found the one, so you can finally show it off to the world! Once united with the perfect pumpkin, you’ll be ready to carve it into the masterpiece it’s been dying to become.

2. Go apple picking at an orchard

Crispy, juicy apples straight from the tree - it doesn’t get much better than that. Apples are in their prime during autumn, so channel your inner gatherer and stock up on all of the good ones while they last. From caramel apples to apple cider, this fruit can transform into nearly any of your desired states to fulfill your apple-lovin’ needs.

3. Scream your head off at a haunted house

Who doesn't love feeling like they're about to die? Grab a few friends and brave the unknown horrors of a haunted house, if you dare. Feel the adrenaline as you make your way around each mysterious corner, where anything may be lurking. Take on the fright-filled house and come out a proud survivor.

4. Dress the part with fall fashion

Chilly weather means it’s time to break out sweaters, boots, scarves and all of the best fall fashion trends. Leggings and jeans are freed from their winter storage prisons, and oversized sweaters provide quality comfort and a chic look. Cozy fall clothes manage to look good and feel great at the same time - they truly produce the best of both worlds.

5. Eat all of the fall foods you lay your eyes on

Fall flavors are the bomb; anything pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, maple, spiced, you name it. These flavors appear in so many different forms it’s almost impossible not to eat them. Pumpkin, one of the most popular fall foods and flavors, can be made into pies, bread, muffins, lattes and even the seeds can be eaten. The options are truly endless.

6. Tune into ABC Family for 13 Nights of Halloween and Disney Channel for "Halloweentown"

Snuggle up for 13 straight nights of spooky movies leading up to the most frightening night of the year: Halloween. ABC Family brings back the classics with movies like "Hocus Pocus," "Casper" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Along with these movies, make sure to swing by the supernatural world of "Halloweentown" as Disney Channel airs their traditional showing of the movie series.

7. Jump in a pile of leaves

You know you want to. Crunchy, colorful leaves lay around waiting to be collected into a massive pile, and what better way to procrastinate homework or to spend free time than diving into a bunch of leaves? Leaves cling to trees only to fall off and die, so jumping into them would add excitement to their typical life cycle. Do it for the leaves.

8. Keep up with your favorite TV shows

With the return of many beloved shows, it’s going to take some real dedication to keep up with all of them. TGIT is back on ABC with the dramas you’ve been longing for. In Shondaland, "Grey’s Anatomy," "Scandal" and "How To Get Away With Murder" return back-to-back on Thursday nights. On Sunday nights, "Once Upon A Time" returns with the wave of a magic wand to ABC. On The CW Network, "The Vampire Diaries" returns for more blood-sucking drama on Thursday nights. Better get out your calendar; there’s not a moment to lose.

9. Wander through a corn maze

Put your mind to the test and find your way through a corn maze. Throw on a flannel, round up some friends and embrace the challenge. Get lost and take in the crisp fall air as you explore the various pathways.

10. Decorate your dorm or apartment

Bring the season indoors and spice up your space with fall decorations. Go all out with mini pumpkins, Halloween decorations, baskets of fake gourds and warm-colored flower arrangements. Add the sweet scent of fall with golden cinnamon, pumpkin apple, and marshmallow fireside scented candles.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
