The Ultimate Bucket List

I have been writing my bucket list for years and I am always adding to it and taking unrealistic items off of it. But I always replace everything I take off. I hardly ever get to cross anything off though. But I think it is very important to keep a bucket list, especially in college. In college we're exposed to many different events, activities and amazing opportunities. Every couple of months I take time to look it, revise it, add items to it or check things off if I am lucky! Every year I tell myself "Ok, this year I'll complete five to ten items on my list. But ya know, life happens. My list consists of concerts, places to go, things to see, tattoos, pets to get, and activities I've always wanted to.

This list is full of activities that I think should be on everyone's bucket list! Some may be far out of reach for most people but it is okay to dream. And you know they say to always dream big!

1. Travel Around Europe.

2. Graduate College.

If you are in college you know that your biggest goal is to graduate and be done. Graduating college can be very challenging and depending on your major it could take longer than 4 years. Never let anyone tell you that college should only be a 4 year experience. And lets face it, college isn't a 4 year degree anymore, most people go for 5. Get that victory lap in if you need to, it is okay. Who said staying in college is bad?

3. See the Statue of Liberty.

4. Stand in 4 states at one time.

How cool is this?! You can stand in four states at one time!!! Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah!

5. See the Grand Canyon.

This beauty is definitely on my bust list. My camera would be by best friend here.

6. Take a picture with the Hollywood sign.

7. Go scuba diving.

Scuba diving would be so cool and such an amazing experience! I would love to swim with sea turtles and see what the ocean looks like underneath.

8. Visit the Mall of America.

9. Visit Disney World.

Who doesn't want to visit the happiest place on earth? This is still on my bucket list!

10. Take a road trip with no planned destination.

I recently did this and it was such a great experience. Taking a road trip with no plans is by far the best way to road trip. But make sure you actually know where you are at all times so you can get a hotel just in case. Take a trip with people that you can actual stand being in a car with for hours on end. And don't forget the camera because you are going to want to remember everything you see! Also, bring snacks! You WILL get hungry in the car and you do not want to get hangry!

11. Visit the 9/11 Memorial.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
