A Typical West Chester Student's Night Out
My West Chester PA Town

It’s a Thursday, Friday, perhaps even a Saturday evening in good o'l West Chester. You might be finishing up that last class or counting the minutes 'til your shift at work is finally over but there’s only one thing on your mind...

7:05 p.m. - Making it back home to see that your roommates have already started the festivities…

7:30 p.m. - The night is looking prosperous. Time to get ready but you have nothing to wear...

8-9 p.m. - The pre-game.

9:01 p.m. - Precautionary measures…

9:30 p.m. - You’re on your way to first house party but those brick sidewalks are always playing games.

9:45 p.m. - You roll up squad deep, like what’s good.

10 p.m. - The night is in full swing and you’re feeling good. Time for endless amounts of Snapchats and selfies.

10:15 p.m. - All of a sudden you snipe out that hot guy/girl you and your friends are all secretly in love with on campus.

You see someone else trying to talk to them so you want to be like:

But they’re looking back at you like:

10:20 p.m. - Uh oh, here comes that stage-five clinger from your 9 a.m. lecture asking why you weren’t in class.

10:30 p.m. - Your jam comes on.

11 p.m. - Bathroom photoshoot.

11:15 p.m. - Attempting to round up the drunk configuration that you call your friends so you can hit the bars.

11:20 p.m. - Ryan’s/ Barnaby’s/ Landmark are already packed and the lines out the door.

11:45 p.m. - When you buy drinks on drinks on drinks and your card doesn’t overdraft...

12:15 a.m. - Oh no... the stage-five clinger is back.

1:10 a.m. - Walking your drunk friends back from bar so they don’t wander off.

1:45 a.m. - It’s about that time to hit up Chris’s Pizza or Riggtown Oven… you might end paying for everyone.

2 a.m. - Shocked you caught the last shuttle bus of the night back to South.

2:35 a.m. - Finally making it home and realizing how ridiculous your night was.

3 a.m. - Watching your Snapchat story at the end of the night like:

3:30 a.m. - Playing mom when your friends get sick.. Sorta.

8 a.m. - Waking up in you bed the next morning contemplating all your lifestyle choices.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
