Tinder is an online dating app that is used commonly amoung young adults. Many people have it, although not all are able to admit their addiction to the app. If you have Tinder there are several types of people you are guaranteed to meet.
1. The Accidental Swipe Right
There are some people that you just don't feel deserve to be right-swiped. It can be because you aren't attracted to them, too many mutual friends, too far away, etc. But somehow you've managed to accidentally swipe right on this person, and they then proceed to message you. Many people just unlatch or ignore their message, however if you end up giving them a chance it can be an interesting. Often this accidental swipe left is someone that turns into being a close friend or even a possible relationship.
2. The Ghost
So this match starts out like any other match, you both have a few things in common and decide to exchange numbers after some small talk. You talk for a few weeks, maybe even hang out a few times. Things seem to be going great but then all of sudden they stop texting you. It is as if they just disappear into thin air. You look over the texts and ask your friends for their intake. You didn't do anything wrong so the only reasonable explanation is they were a ghost.
3. The Hook Up
We've all been there, you tell yourself that you won't succumb to your primal needs, but eventually you give in. You aren't proud to admit it, but you've had at least one hookup from Tinder. Some people have more than others, but don't deny it just embrace it.
4. The One Out of Your League
Somehow the Tinder gods where on your side for once and you managed to match with someone, who appears way out of your league. You may not always be the one to message first, but this is one person you take no time to type of the first message. It might not work out but just knowing they swiped right on you, whether it was by accident or on purpose, makes your day.
5. The "One"
If you're lucky you will meet someone on Tinder that is worth having a relationship with. Everything goes seemingly perfect: you share a lot of things in common, they aren't too far away and they like you for you. You go on a few dates and eventually you find yourself dating. When people ask you both tend to answer that it was through mutual friend, not wanting to admit you met on a dating app. The relationship may or may not last forever, but meeting them makes all other matches pale in comparison.
