P-R-O-C-R-A-S-T-I-N-A-T-I-O-N. Everyone procrastinates. Some people are better at procrastinating than others. Procrastination is a true art form. As for me, I am a seasoned professional. If college has taught me anything, it's how to procrastinate until the last minute and still pass with flying colors. Here is a list of how many of us college students procrastinate on a daily basis.
1. Cleaning every spot of your apartment to avoid writing that six page paper.... That then leads to a dance party with your vacuum cleaner.
2. Lying in bed contemplating life when you have three papers to write, a math exam to study for, a project to finish and a quiz to take that's due at midnight.
3. When you have so much shit to get done, but you decide to take a nap instead.
4. Reorganizing your entire closet, and then finding clothes you forgot you had, so you have to try them on; meanwhile, your textbook lies there waiting for you to begin studying for your exam tomorrow.
5. When you have no idea what to write your paper on, and you just sit staring at your computer screen, having a mini panic attack, and then decide to reward yourself with a break from writing your paper.
6. Binge-watching your favorite shows on Netflix or Hulu thinking to yourself "What am I doing with my life? I've literally watched six seasons within the span of a few hours."
7. When your roommate or friends ask if you want to go to the cafeteria or get fast-food. Is that even a question? Of course, I will do anything to avoid homework or studying for a few hours.
8. Killing time on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat to avoid reading for that quiz you have in an hour. Sorry, I'm not sorry. Good thing that quiz is open book.
9. Deciding to go on spontaneous road trips with your girlfriends, even though you have 1,000 things due that upcoming Monday. You deserved that mini vacation.
10. Going on a Target run, grocery store run or boutique run, because, well, you need new clothes and more food to get you motivated to study.
11. When you realize your test is in two hours, and you still haven't looked over anything. "I immediately regret this decision."
12. Having a panic attack when you know you should have started on that paper a week ago when it was assigned. But yet, you still wait until the last minute, because you can't function unless under pressure.
13. Arriving to class with that paper you literally just wrote within three hours and acing it! But then your professor announces you have another paper due next week.
