"How do you like being a twin?"
It's the most commonly asked question once someone finds out I have one.
Yes, we share a lot of things such as the same birthday and we were in the womb together for nine months. No big deal.
A lot of people will also ask how it is sharing a birthday with someone else. Personally, I don't know if my twin feels the same way, but sharing a birthday has never been a big deal to me. It's what I have always been used to. We would always have our own separate cakes, friends or whatever we would want to include on our day that would make it special for each of us.
Another thing people don't seem to realize is that just because we're twins doesn't mean we can't be different as well.
People will say "OMG, you and your twin don't act or look anything alike." Well yes, we are very fraternal and completely different. My twin has dark brown, curly hair and is about six feet tall while I am the complete opposite with light brown hair and five-foot-two. Funny thing is I may not look it, but I am the oldest by one minute.
Last but not least, it is always amusing being asked that specific question of "How does it feel to be a twin?" because I will always answer with the same thing, "It is great, but it feels like I am more of a triplet than anything since my 'younger' sister is only 10 months younger than my twin and I."
Yes, that is correct, 10 months!! Lets just say that I really do feel more like a triplet than anything. For starters, my younger sister's birthday is in January so for two months we're all the same age. How confusing right?!
It may be confusing and a funny story to let people know but I would never change it for anything. Being so close and growing up with a sister the same age as me and another one right behind us has always been so great.
