As life goes on and a lot of us start to grow up and go on to be real adults and college graduates, it can cause one to think and reflect on things they do in life.

I have had a lot of conversations lately about the opportunities that we have currently. Being able to take the opportunity to travel and do what we want is something that is so unique.

We have so many things that we have the chance to do in this day and age. We can easily hop on a plane and go travel the world in just a blink of an eye. Being able to do this is something so unique. We have the ability to be able to do so many things before we settle down.

Being able to go and travel and do what we want in the time we have before we settle down is such an amazing opportunity. Now, this may be something that could be uncomfortable, especially if big exciting things may not be your style. But don't let that be something that stops you. Being able to go out and explore new things is something that everyone should be able to do. Whether it be moving to a new city or traveling the world, or even just taking some time for yourself, NOW is the time to do that.

No matter what society says, you shouldn't be forced to settle down so young.

Do what you want and take hold of what you want to do in your life. From college to new adventures, we should be taking these chances that we have now.

I have had a lot of conversations with my mom about how she is so happy that I am able to travel and have all of these opportunities before I get into a serious relationship and truthfully I agree with her. It is so amazing that we live in a time where I can go spend some of my summer in a different country. This is something I never thought that I'd be able to do.

You can do it too. Don't be afraid to take a step out of your comfort zone and go and seize every opportunity that you have. Even if it may seem scary or daunting, that's okay because you are going to have people around you who will be there for you and help you, even if you're in a different country. Even if you chose to settle down before you explore new things, that's okay too, but don't let something you want to do pass you by before you even have the chance to do it.

I'm in my twenties and I am okay with being single because I get to go and explore so many things and relationships. From traveling to different adventures with friends and family, I am so happy to have the chance to do whatever I want to do at this point in my life. It's been a blast so far and I'm not even done yet!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
