If you are like me, you love country music but your friends are not really a fan of the genre. But, that does not mean you have to enjoy this beautiful music alone. Here, I have compiled a list of country songs for the summer for all types of moods.

1. Summer Nights by Rascal Flatts

Of course, this has to be on the list, and not just because it has summer in the title. If the intro to this song does not put you in a good mood, the lyrics “let that igloo cooler mark your piece of paradise” will. You simply can not associate a cooler with any bad summer festivity memory.

2. Summertime by Kenny Chesney

Yes, this has summer in the title too, but the lyrics that encompass this song really do scream summer. I mean come on, “two bare feet on the dashboard, young love and an old Ford.” What screams summer vibes more than that?

3. Knee Deep by Zac Brown Band featuring Jimmy Buffett

Maybe you are going on vacation, or maybe you are not. Either way, this song will make you wish that you were. With lyrics stating “mind on a permanent vacation, the ocean is my only medication,” I could not agree more.

4. Somewhere on a Beach by Dierks Bentley

If you are somewhere on a beach, you should totally be jamming out to this song. Whether you are actually gone, or just so content with your life, you should be following Dierks words “I’m way too gone to have you on my mind.”

5. American Country Love Song by Jake Owen

He opens this song with “It's two tickets to a concert. It's a Daytona airbrush T-shirt. Wondering who's gonna kiss you first. You know what I'm talking about?” Yes, yes we do Jake, and if you do not, well, then it is in your best interest to find out this summer.

6. Cruise by Florida Georgia Line

Spending a lot of time on the road? Cruise surely “makes me wanna roll my windows down and cruise,” and hopefully, it will hit the spot for you too so you can enjoy your time on the road.

7. Parking Lot Party by Lee Brice

If you like to party, and even if you do not, this is a country summer playlist essential. Nothing is more true than the lyrics “there ain't no party like the pre-party and after the party, is the after-party at the parking lot party.” If you are with the right people, any moment at any place will feel like a party, even a parking lot.

8. Vacation by Thomas Rhett

If you believe that you are with the right people, you might as well turn on Vacation so you can dance to the beat of this song and blast the lyrics "let's party like we on vacation."

9. Heart Break by Lady Antebellum

Heartbroken or not, Heart Break is an anthem this summer for anyone getting over a breakup or trying to ride solo. Hearing the lyrics “I’m single for the summer, I won't rebound, one lover to another, or be tied down” really makes you want to stick to that state of mind.

10. Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs

If you are in love, Beautiful Crazy will set the mood just right and even possibly make you want to fall in love. Who could resist the chorus and the feel-good vibe of this song? “Beautiful, crazy, she can't help but amaze me. The way that she dances, ain't afraid to take chances and wears her heart on her sleeve. Yeah, she's crazy but her crazy's beautiful to me?” Not me.

11. Break Up in the End by Cole Swindell

Break Up in the End will leave you in tears if you want a sound to match your broken heart. “I'd do it over and over, again and again even though we break up in the end.” But, the touching melody of this song will also leave you thankful for the pain, and hopefully, help mend you.

12. Play It Again by Luke Bryan

Everyone has a song that will take them back to the time and place that they first heard it. Hopefully this song will leave you repeating the lyrics “oh my God, this is my song, I've been listenin' to the radio all night long, sittin' 'round waitin' for it to come on” to one of these songs from this list.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
