'Twas the week of finals, and all through the campus,

All students were studying, not a sound of ruckus;

Hours and hours were being put in,

With hopes they could all soon reflect in sin.

No student had seen their beds,

While hopes of A’s still dancing in their heads.

The libraries were full with noses in books,

In hopes that this last test won’t leave us shook.

Students got buzzed by coffee so fresh,

To jump-start their brains for their terrible cram sesh.

For the students who never bothered with class,

Are struggling and crying and cheating to pass.

Around the notes went, with no sense they made;

While all students sat silently and prayed.

“Now this is supposed to be a time of cheer,” they all cried,

“But instead we’re stuck here, with our brains mush and fried!”

When throughout the halls there was a tone,

That all seemed to have record by phone.

No one student knew what to do,

We all just stared with hopes of the truth.

The dim light of the library set on the books,

Setting the mood for such scarce lonesome looks;

I looked again to my roommate with hopes she would know,

With her looking back at me, her face looking woah.

With a little ol’ message being sent ever so fast,

Hard to believe with a campus so vast;

For it could not be true,

Had St. Nicholas really come through?

There was no way to know if it was real,

But just hope and pray that one can make the right deal.

For TA’s all over campus had seen it be made,

But only one would really help get the grade.

For it was a miracle sent with much praise,

We all could not help but feel such amaze;

We would not question how they got the answers,

But we all knew he had to romance her.

For he sent out one last gift to us all,

And away he went after taking the fall;

With the final deed being set for us bright,

“HAPPY FINALS TO ALL, AND MAY ALL YOUR ANSWERS BE RIGHT!”

Even though we all wish this could happen, the actual odds of all of our TA's sending the answers are pretty slim. However, I hope it still gave you a laugh in these terror-filled weeks. Just remember, after this we're done with fall semester, so finish out strong and may the odds be ever in your favor!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
