Well, folks, turtlenecks are officially back, and I love them. They come in so many different colors and patterns and can be worn in so many different ways! Of course, they're also like regular shirts with the included benefits of scarves, which is super convenient. Somehow, wearing a turtleneck makes any outfit feel a little more put-together, a little more fashion-forward, and altogether cozier.

Here I've put together some of my favorite examples of how people are wearing turtlenecks this season, along with where to find similar ones if you're interested in adding some to your wardrobe.

Disclaimer: I'm aware that some of the shirts pictured here are actually mock-necks, as opposed to turtlenecks. Considering that mock-necks are like turtlenecks' younger siblings, I feel it's all right to include them under the turtleneck umbrella.

Of course, you can't go wrong with ribbed fabric. It's soft, stretchy, and usually opaque, which is nice when so much of the light-colored shirts out there are at least somewhat transparent. The colors and patterns pictured here illustrate some of the variety available in turtlenecks, in particular the zigzag striped example, which is a lovely alternative to regular striped shirts (of which I own far too many, and which I have had to tell my friends to stop letting me buy).

Turtlenecks help carry a statement piece you loved for the warm weather through to fall. As I've said before, overalls are the best way to feel both fashionable and tough as all get out, but it can be hard to coordinate them with cool weather outfits. Your solution: the turtleneck. You can even pick one that's a little heavier, in order to stay warm. And, of course, with that scarf feature your neck stays nice and toasty even when winter's on its way.

Well, it's hard to even point out all the things I love about this outfit. First there's the turtleneck, a great striped example in a little heavier ribbed fabric, layered under a shearling-lined jacket. Fall is the number one season for texture, and this outfit has it all. Besides the ribbed turtleneck and the shearling jacket, there are also 70's-style velvet boots in a purple color that's perfectly unexpected.

And here, of course, is one of the promised mock-neck examples. The color and fabric-mixing in this outfit is flawless - one of the most creative examples I've yet encountered. This would be a really easy ensemble to put together in thrift stores as well!

Check out this Forever 21 corduroy overall dress

And finally a mixture between the overalls and the cami dress outfit - an overall dress over a turtleneck! The suede heels and leather backpack make great additions, adding interesting materials to the collection.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
