#TrumpGirlsBreakTheInternet Is A Misogynist's Wet Dream

Making America great again begins with girls in wet t-shirts, apparently.

In case you belong to the group of very unhip people who are not concerned with every single thing that trends on Twitter, allow me to inform you of one of the most recent developments in hashtag culture: #TrumpGirlsBreakTheInternet. But don’t think for a second that the trend was an original idea, as the tag was only created after #FatAssesBreakTheInternet and #BigTittiesBreakTheInternet trended over the weekend (If you'd to backpedal even further, technically all "break the Internet" hashtags were inspired by Kim Kardashians's "Paper" cover in 2014.)

Also, don’t think for a second that this hashtag is actually women of similar political views rallying together for comfort and support. No, the hashtag was actually started by a man just hoping to see “hot girls” filling his timeline:

More men crawled out of their respective holes to post pictures of women in Trump 2016 apparel (that they likely found on google images), hoping that the hashtag would actually catch wind.

(Tasteful little caption there, no?)

Eventually, the hashtag gained enough traction to catch the attention of Anti-Trump twitter users who then increased the popularity of the tag to make jokes and troll tweets.

Now, everyone’s entitled to their own ideas and certainly their own political beliefs, but this hashtag has gone beyond creating a “safe-place” for like-minded individuals on the Internet. It’s a place for men to drool over women and assess their worth based on their looks. It's become (or always was) "our (conservative) women versus their (liberal) women."

Naturally, racists have also found their way to the hashtag, pitting the “beautiful white women” who support trump against the women of color.

It’s safe to say that this space isn’t even actually for lady Trump supporters at all, as they are probably the least vocal/active in the tag. Instead it’s a space for misogynists and racists to get their jollies from scantily clad women and picking fights with liberals
(affectionately and albeistly named “libtards” by many).

What could have been respectful conversation among like-minded women is actually just another scheme devised by gross men who want to not only keep women divided, but to promote that their value is in direct correlation to how they stack up against the standard of beauty.

So to all you women who are actually participating in order to receive love and support from these people:

They don't respect any of us.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
