Donald Trump Will Never Be Impeached Because Nobody Actually Cares

Think about all of the disqualifying things that Trump has done, and how he is still President, and this starts to make sense.

Donald Trump Will Never Be Impeached Because Nobody Actually Cares

With the recent criminal convictions of former Trump campaign aides Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen, there has been renewed optimism amongst democrats regarding the possible impeachment of President Donald Trump. The Mueller Probe has claimed its first victim, and with reports that Donald Trump Jr. is now a prime target of Robert Mueller, many believe that it won't be long now before Trump himself bites the dust, but allow me to pump the brakes on this theory a bit.

First of all, this is far from the first time that Donald Trump has been under fire for something objectively awful. However, no matter what it is that he is accused of, he always seems to find a way to finagle his way out of it. Even when he was a candidate during the election, he had a litany of seemingly disqualifying scandals. Let's go through them all, shall we? Let's see...he called Mexican immigrants criminals, drug dealers, and rapists, he talked shit about a gold star family after their son died because his father criticized him, he mocked a disabled reporter during one of his speeches, and most disgusting of all, he bragged about sexually assaulting women in his famous "grab 'em by the pussy" recording, not to mention his at the time pending legal case regarding his alleged rape of a twelve-year-old girl.

Remember, all of these were before he even won the election and became president. After he was inaugurated, the scandals didn't stop. There was that time he called literally the entire continent of Africa a "shithole," called NFL players "sons of bitches" for kneeling during the national anthem, said of Nigerian immigrants that once they were in America they "wouldn't want to go back to their mud huts," implied that all Haitians have AIDS, used an Indian accent while talking to the Indian Prime Minister, said that having a President for life is "a great idea," and oh yeah, he failed to condemn white supremacists and Nazis, even calling some of them "very fine people."

Even with all of these scandals, Trump continues on. He's like a cockroach; no matter how many times you try to kill it, he just won't die. Even more surprising, he is still very popular among his supporters, and this is why he will never be impeached: to Trump supporters and Congressional Republicans, it doesn't matter if their President is a Nazi supporting, pussy grabbing egomaniac who doesn't understand anything about anything, as long as he is a Republican. As long as Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and their kin can push their conservative policies through the legislature, they're willing to accept any and all bullshit coming out of the Oval Office, while still somehow treating Hillary Clinton as if she was the more immoral candidate in the election. In conclusion, Trump has shown that he can do pretty much whatever he wants and the Republican Congress will simply turn the other cheek while they go back to shamelessly marching back the clock on policy.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
