The sadness has struck, with racism at Washing State University (WSU).
Because WSU is a public University, there is more of a chance to share your political opinions. However, the oppression that has been contributed to the school has been creating a racial stir and a political conflict. The protests regarding the newly built trump wall in the center of their campus, are valid. People who support Trump may have their reasons, but the amount of racism that he contributes in does not help. Trump doesn't support #BlackLivesMatter, and he should, everyone should. The fact that people are supporting this wall is unforgiving.
As a student at Pacific Lutheran University, my liberal values can't contain what is happening at WSU, all I want to do is drive up and support the Black Student Union President. I want there to be something done. And I understand that the administration approved this wall, but while it may keep an open space for people to express their political opinions, it also oppresses the minority. This is uncontrollable and I can't believe it is actually happening.
I wish there were more I could do to fix this, to support the people who are supporting themselves. There deserves to be a change, and creating awareness may help the school take down this wall that oppresses others.
The idea that Trump wants to get rid of illegal immigrants with a wall and have it paid by the Mexican government is ridiculous. He will bring the country in so much debt, and it won't help our country at all. There is no sensible reason to have a wall built around our border. And deporting people has been happening, but the fact that he thinks he can do that to the people who live in this country, especially when he uses these people for his work. It is ridiculous how he can do something like this, and I wish I could understand why people find the need to separate families more than necessary.
I believe everyone has their right to have their opinion in politics, but I don't think this is acceptable.
