For all the Trump fans out there, I would like to propose you actually listen to and watch a Broadway musical. Yes, it will change your life and hopefully your idiotic ways of thinking, (I'm not here to make friends or be nice). I would like you to take some time out of your day to listen to the Broadway musical "Hamilton" and ask yourself these burning questions.
Why do want immigrant laws to change and not be restricted? Well, because they formed your country. Even though you won't be able to see past the Puerto Rican playing Alexander Hamilton, remember that this founding father that, "Made America Great," was from the Caribbean. Yup. The man that made the entire economic system that allows your patriarchy of Donald Trump to thrive was an immigrant. So if your precious wall was built this man and his federalism would have been stuck in the countries that you believe don't deserve to be here. I wish I could see your face.
You want to fight against Bernie Sander's free tuition? Well tough, because this literal builder of America had to have local people pay for his tuition. Yeah, you know like taxes from the community. So free college? And with that college degree, he took a job that most wealthy people didn't want, fighting in the militia. I understand that it's not the same as being a Dunkin Donuts worker, but this immigrant took a job that created the backbone of America. This is the same idea that is happening today. Enjoy your coffee that was proudly made by hands from the West Indies.
If that didn't prove that you should be voting for good ole' Bernie, watch the rest of the play. Hamilton, again the immigrant, started the National Bank, which tried to propose that the government would not cause public debt. The government would also try to ensure the health of small businesses. A small business is something that is not a big bank that needs to get bought out of debt, for those that didn't know because it's such a rare occurrence these days.
Also, without the historical aspect, just watch the show. "Hamilton" encompasses the idea that anyone can play these characters. As said before, Hamilton is played by Lin- Manuel Miranda who is Puerto Rican. The actors that play both George Washington and Aaron Burr are played by African-American actors. So relax with your Donald Trump craziness.
Besides being just a straight up good show, "Hamilton" reminds us of what is actually, "Great about America." The foundations of our country may not have been perfect, but a creator of our country wasn't even from our country. The musical shows that diversity is what will, "Make America Great Again."
