Going into college, I liked coffee. However, now being half way into my junior year, it's not just that I "like" coffee, it's more like I need coffee. I guess I can thank college for my coffee addiction. It's OK though, we're kind of BFF's now and I don't see coffee leaving my life any time soon. Somewhere down the line, I made the realization that my love for coffee is probably not healthy. However, I've come to terms with that and really don't plan to do anything about it. To be honest, it's just something I have accepted. I've made it through many early morning classes and the late night study sessions all thanks to coffee. If you are wondering what all the hype is about this coffee thing, then this will definitely clear things up. These are true confessions of a real life coffee-holic.
1. Making coffee is the top priority in my morning-time routine.
When I get out of bed the first thing I have to do is get it brewing.
2. I've reached the point where one cup of coffee is just not enough.
There is no such thing as a limit.
3. The amount of espresso shots in my mocha latte is slowly increasing.
One shot of espresso just doesn't have the same effect as it used to.
4. Sometimes, this thing happens were my heart rate elevates with no effect on level of sleepiness.
Yeah, it's a thing.
5. Without coffee, I get a major headache or major fatigue -- like, I'm dying.
Probably not a good sign, but I kind of just go with it.
6. Coffee just makes me happy and excited. Period.
You will never see me smiling more than when I have a cup of coffee in my hand.
7. I have realized that a cup of coffee is actually more effective at curing my headaches than Tylenol is.
Someone should really invent coffee pills. Just straight coffee in pill form. It could be a thing.
8. Truthfully, my coffee cup or coffee mug is a part of my daily garb.
If I had a dollar for every coffee cup I owned, then I'd be rich.
9. I shamelessly own several T-shirts that express my love for coffee.
It's just necessary that everyone fully understands my love for coffee.
10. When I walk into Starbucks, the aroma is intoxicating.
11. Coffee ice cream, choco-espresso beans, coffee milk shake, everything. If it's coffee flavored, then I'll eat it.
Period.
12. I somehow end up forgetting that drinking water is also necessary.
Drinking water has become a chore because I could be drinking coffee instead.
13. I don't understand how people who don't drink coffee wake up and function in the morning.
Getting through class would be impossible.
14. I believe that a bad cup of coffee is better than no coffee at all.
But seriously, it's better than nothing. It gets the job done.
15. I always make my friends go to Starbucks with me so I can get my fix.
If you've ever gone with me to get coffee, then you're my best friend.
These are my confessions. Confessions of a coffee-holic. If you meet most of these bullet points, then you might have a problem too. It's OK though, welcome to the club.
