I like to think that I adopted my love for traveling from my parents. Ever since I was little my mother and father have been very focused on showing my sister and I as much of this beautiful world as possible. From the cruises to Jamaica and Cozumel to the long flights out to Oregon and Utah I have seen so much. It’s because of all this traveling that I have learned how important it is to appreciate the beauty we are presented with and the lifestyle that I am used to as a teenager living in Forsyth county.
Seeing so much from a very young age has helped me develop an endless love for the Earth that we call home. Nature is a much more beautiful painter and sculptor than any man. Whether you’re at 6,600 feet or sea level, whether you’re staring at a mountain range or out across an ocean this planet is absolutely breath taking. I now know how important it is to preserve things like our national parks. Just like ropes around God’s stunning creation; we must take care so that others years later can appreciate the same sights.
I’ve seen so many small towns and big cities so far in my life. I’ve driven past those towns where you wonder how someone could possibly live there. I’ve driven through those big cities filled with homeless and rich living side by side. This has given me a certain perspective. So many people face their own issues and problems. Life truly isn’t fair so I’ve learned to be thankful for the luck I’ve been given. Though I may not show it quite enough I’m sincerely thankful for the opportunities and blessings that fill my life.
I can’t seem to ever be satisfied with what I’ve already seen. All I want to do is travel out and see and hear more. There is so much beauty that my eyes have yet to take in and I’m determined to fill my life with as much of it as I can. Traveling young has taught me that life is full of splendor as long as you’re willing to look for it.
