The world is such a widely vast and unique place. In life, it is crucial to step out of your comfort zone and see things you're not used to seeing. In my opinion, I think it is extremely important to immerse ourselves in different cultures and get exposed to things that are not the norm. Traveling allows this because it conceives growth, development and creativity as an individual.
Whether you travel alone or with a huge group, you figure out a mass amount of things that you never knew before. With this, you are granted the chance to see other people thrive in new settings, and you also get to see yourself step beyond your usual boundaries. The excitement and nervousness that you feel before traveling usually turns into adrenaline while your flight is waiting on the runway preparing for takeoff. No person is the exact same, just like the places around the globe are not all the same. Everywhere you go has different people and scenery. This is what makes traveling so unique. Even if you go to the same place over and over again, you always return with a different experience and knowledge than the time you went before.
Stepping back and reflecting on experiences while traveling cannot help but to make you feel incredibly grateful. Realizing how fortunate you are to be living, breathing and taking in contrasting environments is indescribable. Traveling is like a puzzle. Sometimes it can have a lot of complex pieces. Such as booking the airfare, finding a way to pay, packing and figuring out transportation after arriving. It may seem like tedious hard work at the time, but when you step back and see that your puzzle is truly a masterpiece, the time and energy put into it makes it worth the while. To me, traveling is not determined by distance or time. It is the fact that you took a step out of your typical bubble to have growth as a person and experience change. Not only are vacations or trips themselves one of a kind, but the memories and relationships made make the experience come together as a whole. Writing this has truly made me reflect on the incredible vacations I have been fortunate to go on in the past two years. Throughout my times away from home, I always come back changed in a positive way. Soul searching and de-stressing are always major keys to a good trip. Attached are some pictures of my favorite places I have visited recently. What’s your favorite place to travel to?
Snorkeling in Cancun, Mexico.
