One day, we'll be traveling again, so make the most of it!

I don't know about you but travel is always on my brain. When it is not in the forefront of my mind it is at least in my passing thoughts. To me travel is essential, like air and water are to live. There is just something about waking up in a completely foreign place that is addicting. So in an effort to try to fill the void of travel in my life right now, I decided I could at least pretend travel through researching the number one places I want to go once this pandemic is over.

Europe: Italy

A girl walks along a city in Italy's Amalfi Coast region.

Although the cities in the Amalfi Coast region may seem super touristy I promise you that there are still some hidden gems.

Honestly, I think this one needs the least explanation. Italy has so much to offer from its historic cities like Rome to the canals of Venice to the Amalfi Coast, Italy has it all. Not only is it on the top of my list because of its amazing variety of cities but also for the food. Food is really important to me and especially while traveling luckily, Italian food does not disappoint!

North America: Belize

A dock extends over the beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear turquoise water.

Belize may just have the best beaches ever but you didn't hear it from me.

As someone who has been to Belize before believe me when I tell you that there is no place like it. The white sand beaches, beautiful turquoise waters and friendly locals all make Belize so special. There is also so much history and culture to explore in the cities as well and I can't forget to mention I highly recommend trying local food it is amazing!

South America: Peru

Machu Picchu

If Machu Picchu wasn't already on your bucket list I hope it is now! I could just stare at this picture for hours trying to take in the immense beauty and magnitude of Machu Picchu that I can't imagine what I would do if I where actually there. But there is so much to do in Peru besides Machu Picchu. You can explore Lima and Cusco or if you prefer a more rugged adventure the amazon is yours for the trekking. I could go on for a whole paragraph about everything Peru has to offer so instead of just reading about it go experience it!

Asia: Thailand

Ha Long Bay needs no introduction as it has quickly become a popular spot among tourists.

Thailand has always been a country that in my opinion is full of mystery and unexplored places. Not only does it have stunning water views but the cities themselves are also beautiful. There is so much history and culture in Thailand that you could easily spend a week here. Thailand is at the top of my list because of its variety. Thailand has something for everyone!

Oceania: Australia

A mountain rises up out of the grassland at dusk.

Australia's grasslands are some of the most beautiful and diverse ecosystems.

Australia has it all in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast just to name a few. It is a country that is completely opposite in features and terrain from one side to the other. But, I couldn't think of a more diverse and interesting place. Not only is Australia secluded because of its geographical location but what stands out to me is the amount of wildlife it has. You can snorkel the Great Barrier Reef or go on a wildlife safari. I couldn't think of a cooler place to explore!

Now I'm going to go book a plane ticket, because why not!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
