While there are many Halloween costumes that many couples dress up as every year, such as a doctor and a nurse, Adam and Eve or your favorite Disney prince and princess. However, what if you do not want to dress up as any of these? Well, here are some suggestions for those people, like myself, who want to dress-up out of the norm.
1. Wreck-It-Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz
Not going to lie, this is who I want my boyfriend and I to dress up as this year. Not only does it work for couples with a big height difference, it also brings attention to a lesser known Disney film that is, in my opinion, much better than Frozen, which was released soon after Wreck-It-Ralph. These costumes are also pretty easy to make. You just need a flannel and overalls for Ralph and a green sweater and brown skirt for Vanellope!
2. Walter White and Jesse Pinkman
Are you and your significant other fans of Breaking Bad? Then look no further than dressing up as the two iconic characters from the show. This is another easy costume as all you will really need is a yellow bio-hazard suit and a bald cap for whomever wants to be Walter White. However, make sure to brush up on your Breaking Bad quotes or you just might get sick of saying "Science, Bitch!" over and over again.
3. Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat
For the lover of children's tales, what is more iconic than Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat? While this may take some more sewing skills than I have, it would be an adorable costume for any type of couple! All you will need is a yellow suit and hat for the Man in the Yellow Hat, a Monkey costume and some sewing abilities to make these costumes!
4. Buddy the Elf and Jovie
For those couples that love Christmas and just cannot wait until Halloween is over to start celebrating their favorite holiday, here is the costume for you! This costume takes the love of Christmas to a new level with dressing up like Buddy and Jovie. While Jovie's costume can just be normal clothing, you could also make her matching pink elf outfit at the end of the movie to match Buddy's green elf costume.
5. Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable
This is the one for those 90s kids who want to represent their favorite crime fighting couple made famous by the show Kim Possible. These costumes are also quite cost effective, but the fun will be made by acting like the characters with all of their qualities and flaws. Bonus points if you can pull off some type of Naked Mole Rat costume for a pet!
As you can see, there are plenty of costumes that couples, as well as others can have fun with that are unique and outside of the norm.
