1. Study.

Obviously, we need to study, study, study! This is going to be the best way to make it through all your finals! Find out the best ways that you retain the information for your classes and study. Whether it may be reading the book straight up, meeting with a friend, or rewriting all your notes. Figure it out now and start now! We only have a few days left…

Here is a link that could give you some tips!

2. Nourish your body.

Trust me, I am the first person to eat 12 peanut butter cups out of stress, but please don’t! Junk food is the last thing our bodies need mid-finals week. Try to eat veggies and fruit to get your mind juices flowing! Another good way to restore our bodies from hard brain work is physical activity! Get up after studying for a while go on a walk, stretch, or do yoga/meditate. Most importantly, restore and nourish your body is by going to sleep! There is nothing worse for you than lacking on sleep. Get a minimum of 6 hours on a normal study night, but the night before your exam get a minimum of eight. I know we are in college and sleep is the last thing we prioritize, but just try.

3. Disconnect.

We all know it needs to be done, so just do it. Turn off the phone. Put all your social media apps on hold. Place your phone in a different room or something. Whatever you have to do to stop wasting time with that nonsense, do it now. You can’t get anything done with your phone buzzing three inches away from you.

4. Take a break.

There are plenty of ways to give your mind a break from the studying and stress. First, get up and out of whatever space you have been studying in. Take some time and talk to some humans. Spending time around others tends to boost energy, and we all could use some energy. So, call dad (you probably need to do that anyway), or start up a conversation with the random person beside you to take a break on thinking. Just take a break, you deserve it. (P.S. texting doesn’t count.)

5. RUB THE BULLDOG

This one is goes out to all the blue nation of Louisiana Tech. If you go to Tech, you know what I’m talking about! Get out to the Tonk today and rub the heck out of the bulldog’s head for good-luck! It is a traditional and easy way to get some good extra points. It may or may not really work but, it will get your head in the game for sure! Kind of like when Harry Potter didn't give Ron ‘Liquid Luck’, but Ron thought he did.. you know?

In the end it will all be okay. You're going to get through your classes one way or another. If you do simple things like these, then you can definitely pass all your exams. Just stay relaxed and confident in yourself. You planned and prepared for this moment, go out and rock your test!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
