San Diego is a summer destination that has something for everyone, from delicious food to miles and miles of the beautiful coastline to top rated animal attractions. If you're ever fortunate enough to be in the area during the summertime, don't miss out on these classic locations and experiences that make San Diego, "America's Finest City."

1. Stroll through Balboa Park

Explore the nation's largest urban and cultural park, which is only minutes from downtown. The gardens and buildings are beautiful, and there are even museums within the park.

2. See a panda at the San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is number two when it comes to the world's best zoo, right under Nebraska's Henry Doorly Zoo, but what doesn't Henry Doorly have that San Diego does? Pandas. Need I say more?

3. Try an authentic California Burrito

Straight outta San Diego, a California burrito contains finely chopped carne asada, fries (yes, you read that right), cheese, sour cream, and guac. And make sure to eat this on an empty stomach, it's huge.

4. Walk on the suspension bridge

Hidden in a San Diego neighborhood, the Spruce Street suspension is not recommended for those who are afraid of heights. However, if you're ready for the thrill, the view is magnificent. Just don't rock the bridge too much!

5. Go on a ride and catch a concert at the Del Mar Fair

If you thought Nebraska's State Fair was a big deal, you haven't seen anything, yet. The Del Mar fair is known as San Diego's county fair, takes place on a 370 acre property. Start your day on the Ferris Wheel and overlook the ocean when you're up on top, try a fried pickle with peanut butter, and end the day with a concert!

6. Watch the tide come in from the top of Sunset Cliffs

Sunset Cliffs is a must see when visiting San Diego for its majestic sounds of the waves and outstanding (and romantic) views.

7. Check out the cool cosplay at Comic Con

Taking place in July, Comic Con can be your time to dress up as one of your favorite characters, and has all sorts of exhibits from various video games, movies, and television shows.

8. Take the hike to take a picture on Potato Chip Rock

It's a hike that takes you up to a rock that looks like a potato chip. Make sure to take a picture while you're at it, but don't forget to take a picture of that mesmerizing view either!

9. Book a night (or just visit) Hotel Del Coronado

This famous luxury hotel with Victorian beauty is famous for tourists and locals alike, and the Coronado island in general has much to offer as well.

10. See the Original Sandcastle Competition in Imperial Beach

Come out to the beach to witness some grand and impressive sand creations from the West Coast. There'll be pancakes, a parade and live music for everyone in the family!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
