Or the top 10 options for procrastination.

My Top 10 Netflix Obsessions

Netflix is perhaps the greatest facilitator of procrastination in existence today, especially for college students. I know for myself, Netflix takes up far too much of my free time (or not so free time). If any of you readers are like me, then you've probably come up with your own list of favorite shows to watch. But, if you're looking for something new, maybe something on my list of 10 will help you out.

1. "Criminal Minds"

Criminal Minds is a police procedural about a team of FBI profilers who travel the country studying criminals, particularly serial killers and solving crimes. The show is dark; the team chases serial killers and, well, monsters. It's not always a pretty sight. There are 10 seasons currently available on Netflix, and the show is still active on live television, so I for one am hoping for more seasons on Netflix soon.

2. "Once Upon a Time"

"Once Upon a Time" is about what happens when fairy tale characters become trapped in modern-day Maine because of a curse cast by the Evil Queen. The main characters are Snow White and Prince Charming, but the show involves most of the characters we all know and love from fairy tales. This show is a bit more cliche than "Criminal Minds", not to mention much closer to a G-rating, but it's a lot of fun. There are only four seasons on Netflix right now, but the fifth season resumes in a few weeks, and I'm confident it will appear on Netflix later this year.

3. "Blue Bloods"

"Blue Bloods" is a drama that follows the story of a catholic family living in New York City, all of whom are involved in law enforcement. The father of the family, played by Tom Selleck (love him), is the NYPD police commissioner, his son Danny is a detective, younger brother Jamie is an officer and daughter Erin is an Assistant District Attorney. The show follows the family as they deal with being a family of cops and solve crimes in New York City. There are five seasons available now, with more to come.

4. "Bones"

"Bones" follows the story of forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel, and her partner, FBI Agent Seeley Booth, and how they solve crimes of a somewhat gruesome nature in Washington, D.C. The show has lots of humor, some romance and romantic tensions and of course, murder. There are 10 seasons, plenty of episodes to fill all your free time.

5. "Crossing Lines"

This is a new discovery. It's a lot like "Criminal Minds", but on an international level. This team is made of investigators from Italy, England, France, Ireland, Germany and the United States. They chase criminals across borders in Europe. There are only three seasons, so it's quick, but it certainly packs a punch. I'm just getting started, but already I'm hooked.

6. "NCIS"

There's a lot to love about this one. A team of agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service solve crimes involving our country's military, all while keeping the audience laughing with humor and ridiculous situations. This show has been a favorite of mine for a long time and is definitely the longest show on my list with 12 seasons available. This show is hilarious, and it still manages to be emotional at times too.

7. "Fringe"

This is the type of show where I watch "Criminal Minds" after to unwind, but it's so interesting I just can't stop. The team investigates the crimes and disasters that can't be explained by traditional logic and science. They use fringe science, crazy, outrageous theories and concepts like telepathy or seeing the future that seems to break the laws of nature, but the show makes them seem just plausible enough to be absolutely terrifying at times. There are five seasons on Netflix, and I for one will be watching every single one of them.

8. "Switched at Birth"

This is different than any other show on my list. It's dramatic, a bit unbelievable, and completely over the top, but it's my guilty pleasure. It's about two girls who were switched at birth, and went home with different families. The families find out when the girls are teenagers, and the show follows them as they try to adjust to their new situation. There are four seasons available now, so it won't take too much of your time. It's worth the watch, even if all you do is shake your head at all the drama.

9. "Person of Interest"

This show follows an ex-CIA agent and a brilliant millionaire as they try to prevent violent crimes from happening, using a machine that predicts people's actions. It's truly fascinating, and the way they evade the police is just awesome. There are only four seasons of this one as well, and personally, I wish there were more.

10. "Blacklist"

This last one is about a genius-level wanted criminal who turns himself into the FBI in order to gain their help catching the criminals on his blacklist. The level of these crimes is beyond any other show I've seen, they're organized crime on a global level. It's intense and intriguing, and the criminal himself is so fascinating, I feel like I have to keep watching just to figure out everything he knows if that's even possible. There are only two seasons available now, so it is the shortest show on the list, but I am anxiously waiting for more.

These are my top TV shows on Netflix. Some are probably familiar to you, but hopefully, some are not. Regardless, I hope you get as much pleasure out of procrastinating your obligations away using online television as I do. Maybe next time you go looking, you'll give some of these shows a shot.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
