Top Ten Christmas Movies To Watch This Year
History

It's that time of the year again where it is finally acceptable to watch Elf every single day if you want; it's Christmas time. The most wonderful time of the year is finally here and that means that Christmas movies are playing all day, everyday. From Freeform's (previously ABC Family) 25 Days of Christmas to the Hallmark Classics, here are my Top 10 favorite Christmas movies that you have to watch before the New Year!

1) The Santa Clause

By far my personal favorite, The Santa Clause is a classic and if you haven't seen it yet you should. The sequels to the original won't make this list, but if you want to check those out too they are worth the watch.

2) Elf

If you are a Will Ferrell fan then you have to see this movie. A comedy Christmas movie, you will laugh throughout the entirety of it and you'll also wish you had as much Christmas spirit as Buddy the Elf.

3) A Christmas Story

Another Christmas classic, this movie has been around for a while but there is a reason that it has been. If you haven't seen this movie, your chance is on Christmas Day whenever TBS plays the movie continuously all day long.

4) The Polar Express

Seeing is Believing in this movie. If you've lost your Christmas spirit, hop on the Polar Express and take a ride. After you've watched this movie you'll feel like a kid all over again.

5) Home Alone

Can you imagine being left at home on the holidays? Well that's what happens in this Christmas movie. It's funny and full of adventure and while this movie does take place at Christmas time, I feel like it, along with it's sequels, are acceptable to watch year-round.

6) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

One of the best holiday movies to watch around this time of year, this movie will having you laughing nonstop throughout. Check this movie out, and then after you've watched the rest of the movies on this list make sure to check out the rest of the Lampoon Vacation movies.

7) The Holiday

After watching this movie, you'll be wanting to jet off and switch places with a random person for the holidays. One of my favorite movies to watch anytime, if you're looking for a romance movie to watch this year this is the one.

8) The Grinch

Who hasn't seen The Grinch? If you haven't seen it, just trust me and go watch it now.

9) Jingle All The Way

I had completely forgot about this movie until I was making this list however, this used to be my Christmas movie as a kid. It may not be as great as I remember seeing as it has been a long time since I've seen it, but I plan on watching again this year so hopefully it is still just as good.

10) Christmas Land

So I had to throw a Hallmark Movie in there because all of those are great, but this one is my favorite. Christmas Land will make you remember what getting in the Christmas spirit is all about.

Those are my Top 10 Christmas Movies that I think you should check out! I know that there are plenty more out there that I missed, and if you think I missed an important one comment below and tell me why it should have made the list! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
