Top 6 Must-See Movies Every Halloween

Fall is here and Halloween is just around the corner. But what do you do on cold, rainy days during the month of October? You probably watch TV and sit around the house. What if I told you that you could accomplish a goal during that time, instead of watching "American Horror Story" or "Game of Thrones" or any other series that you like? This goal is to watch legendary horror movies, because it is October, of course! Although there are so many wonderful horror movies out there, I have chosen a few that are on the must-see list for this and every Halloween.


6. "Poltergeist": No, I'm not talking about the remake that just came out this year, although it was a fairly good one. I am talking about the 1982 version of "Poltergeist". This movie shows you that you shouldn't build houses on Indian burial grounds and that little children shouldn't sit in front of the TV too long or else ghosts will take them!

5. "Hocus Pocus": Yes, I said it, "Hocus Pocus" is a must-see movie every Halloween. I know a lot of people who think that it is overrated, but it was a well done movie that brings the spirit of Halloween alive!

4. "Halloween": Obviously this is a classic! The "Halloween" that came out in 1978 is a great movie to watch! If you want to be afraid that someone is following you and wants to kill you, watch this movie!

3. "The Shining": Who can resist Jack Nicholson's devilish charm in this movie?! We learn the lesson that you shouldn't watch a very large hotel during a strong winter, where you are trapped until it is spring time! I mean, I would probably go crazy too!

2. "Ghostbusters": "Who you gonna call?" You're going to call your friends that are going to come over and watch this classic with you! Nobody can resist the comedy that this team brings to the table. Forget about watching "Ghost Hunters", this movie will show you all the different evidence that ghosts exist. Not to mention, there is a giant, evil Jet Puffed Marshmallow man out in the world somewhere...

1. "Evil Dead": The ultimate must-see movie for every Halloween is "Evil Dead", the 1981 classic starring Bruce Campbell. Ready to get spooked by a cliché group of teens going to a deserted cabin in the woods and watch an idiot girl go out by herself and turn into a zombie? I know I am! Bruce Campbell becomes the lone survivor, killing off his friends because they become zombified!

Now that you have a list of movies that you need to see before Halloween, get to it!! Let's get spooked!
