Are you looking for a new good book to read? Well, search no more. Below I have compiled a group of teen fiction books that are my top favorites. There are a variety of choices from love story to surviving to fit into today's society. All of these books are perfect for teens who love to read. I hope that you will find one of these books to spark your interest and you will dive right into it. Good luck, and happy reading!

1. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" Trilogy by Jenny Han

This by far is one of my favorite trilogies. I have never been so impressed with books like these. I was constantly engrossed in the book and wanting to read the next one. The author always keeps you guessing what is going to happen next and makes the book almost unpredictable. The struggles of heartbreak, loss, and love might be too much for Belly to handle. You will not want to miss Belly’s summer with the Fischer boys.

2. "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher

As many of you know this is coming out as a Netflix series. My biggest advice to you is to read this book before they make the series. This book had my on the edge of my seat the whole time. I learned so much about how everything in your life will lead you to something. This was such a compelling book about love, and tragedy in this big world we live in. You will not want to miss the reasons why.

3. "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green

One of my favorite books by John Green thus far. A forbidden love story that was not meant to last for them. This book was a whirlwind of emotions and showed that not everything is the way it seems. I cried during the book and during the movie. I cried so hard I just had to set the book down to regain my composure. That is not supposed to scare you away from this book because it is so beautifully written. You will not want to miss the adventures of Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace.

4. "The Way I Used To Be" by Amber Smith

I have read this book twice and it is definitely in my top favorites. This book is beautifully written about the transformation of a girl who was sexually assaulted and the pain of not feeling like she could tell someone. This book gives you a little bit of an insight on the way that rape victims feel and the life they live after the attack. You will not want to miss how Eden overcomes this obstacle in her life.

5. "To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before" trilogy by Jenny Han

This is another AMAZING trilogy by Jenny Han. High school experience for that books that’s for sure. Troubles of liking the popular guy in school and being an outcast from people in school. Although this is a love story, it is definitely a change from The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy. You will not want to miss the high school struggles of Laura Jean.

6. "Wintergirls" by Laurie Halse Anderson

Many of you know author Laurie Halse Anderson and her amazing book Speak. This book, on the other hand, is so underrated. This book shows the trouble of the way that teens look at themselves. Every day teens are pressured to look the thinnest, and for Cassie and Lia this is the lifestyle that they have chosen. You will not want to miss the heartbreaking story of two best friends trying to satisfy society.

7. "Love Letters To The Dead" by Ava Dellaria

I absolutely adored this book on so many levels. I have never read a book quite like this one. The author incorporates letters to dead people to tell a magnificent of a girl who is grieving from the death of her sister. She uses certain people that she can relate to and talk to about things that are happening in her life. The main question in the book is why does Laura feel guilty and May dying, how long can she keep the secret that she knows how and why May died. You will not want to miss the heartbreak, and love that Lara has to give

8. "My Heart and Other Black Holes" by Jasmine Warga

When I was in Barnes and Noble and picked this book up I immediately thought wow what a morbid title, but also relatable. I finished this book in maybe a day or two. I loved it more than most books that I have read. The struggle of teen suicide is a constant threat in our world today. There is so much honesty in this book it’s almost scary. There is no holding back the feelings you will have while reading this. Aysel the main character wants to change her life forever and not in a good way. You will not want to miss the struggles of Aysel’s life and the boy who saves her.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
