Hopefully these dreams can become reality

Top 7 things I want to do before I die

Here we go again, a list you have heard a million times by now: the things I want to do before I kick the bucket. But I'm not going to be bland and put sky diving as my top choice or be ordinary and yearn for a trip to France. So let's see how my list will compare to the average bucket list. Let's see how my list will compare to yours. Let's see if anything on my list fascinates enough for you to crave it as well.

1. A Trip to the Galapagos Islands.

I want to be able to kick back, relax, and enjoy some exotic animals before I go. And this island chain has it all. The only marine iguana species in existence. Check. The center of Darwin's evolution experiments (finches). Check. An abstract breed of penguins. Check. And how could i forget about seals? Check. Oh yeah, and not to mention its an island with a beautiful array of beaches and perfect temperature all year round.

2. Become Trilingual

I want to be able to connect to a wider range of individuals rather than being limited to only those who speak English. And while I could have settled with the desire to learn one other language, Spanish, I have decided to go beyond that and learn another, Mandarin. To me, it seems fun to be able to speak other languages and adapt to other cultures to impress friends and family.

3. Go to an oxygen bar

This may sound strange to most. But after learning that you can actually buy fresh oxygen to breath, my inner curiosity was aroused. So many questions emerged: Would it taste different? Would I enjoy the sensation in my lungs? Or would it be the same? But regardless of that answer, all I know is that I have to try it.

4. Try Edible Gold

Everyone wants gold in their life, right? Well I want gold in my stomach. I want to be able to say I ate gold and honestly I want to know how it tastes. Hopefully not metallic.

5. Speak in front of 1,000 or more people

While this may be a nightmare to some, I want to embrace the challenge. It must be an outstanding opportunity to try to influence a mass amount of people in something you firmly believe in. I can only imagine the initial fear converts into relief and joy.

6. Live in Hong-Kong for an extended period of time

The culture in Hong Kong seems extraordinary and I want to be able to become apart of that. To travel there is on thing, but I don't think it would fully allow me to become apart of it. I want to have to survive on the extravagantly different food, the immensely diverse traditions, and the revolutionary architecture. It seems like an incredible experience.

7. Design my dream home

While this would require a lot of time and money, I think to live in my ideal circumstance would be one of my top goals in life. To be able to walk into a place that I designed and planned out elaborately and then call it home would be insane. Infinity pool? Massive chandelier? A Contemporary Style? The possibilities would be endless.

Now that's it for now. How does your list compare to mine? Is it the same or completely different? Whatever is the case, live the life you want, dream, aspire, and you will be happy. Guaranteed.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
