Summer is the perfect time to catch up on TV shows that you didn't have time to finish during the school year. Luckily, we still have a month for you to watch a few more shows this summer! Here's a list of my staple TV shows for the summer months!
1. Jane The Virgin
I stumbled across this show after a great recommendation from a friend, and I have to say this is one of my favorite shows yet. It follows the story of a girl who was artificially inseminated with her boss's sperm, and who ultimately finds herself stuck between a vicious love triangle. With only two seasons out so far, this show provides just enough drama without being too overwhelming during the summer.
2. How I Met Your Mother
This one's a classic, and the best part is, each episode is only a little over twenty minutes! The show makes it easy to follow the lives of five best friends even if you only have a little time between errands. I guarantee you will laugh out loud.
3. The Bachelorette
I know, this one is very basic. But come on, who can resist a show with over twenty handsome guys fighting over one girl? We hate to admit it, but it is the perfect show for a Monday night. This summer's season is over, but check it out on online (look out for spoilers though)!
4. Are You The One?
At first I thought this show was going to be too similar to "the Bachelorette," but I was quickly proven wrong. 20 people (ten girls and ten guys) are sent to a house in Hawaii and instructed to find their "perfect match." You haven't seen reality TV drama until you've watched this show. The season isn't over yet, so try to catch up!
5. Bob's Burgers
This show absolutely never fails to crack me up. I'm usually not the type of person who likes cartoon TV shows, but trust me, if you're having a bad day, give this one a try. Tina, Louise, and Gene are the (interesting) children of Bob and Linda, who own their own Burger Shop. The family dynamic is hysterical.
6. House Hunters
I'm not exactly sure why this show always grabs my attention so much (maybe I'm just a little too excited to buy my own house). But it completely fascinates me to watch other people tour homes for sale and come across their dream home. House Hunters is always on HGTV, so give it a try!
7. Law and Order: SVU
What I love about SVU is it's ability to give you an action packed episode that you can watch and completely understand without having watched the other previous episodes. This show is perfect if you aren't committed to watch a full movie, but still want something a little more than a short sitcom.
