Top 7 Movies For Movie Night

Need a good movie for movie night? Look no further! Here are the top 7 movies to watch with friends.

Crazy, Stupid Love (2011)

First off, Crazy, Stupid Love has a fantastic cast. Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, can it get any better?

Crazy, Stupid Love is the perfect combination of a romance and a comedy, a rom-com if you will. This is a super great movie to watch if you need a pick me up: It’ll make you laugh and say “aw” at the same time. 10/10 would recommend.

Easy A (2010)

Continuing with the Emma Stone movies, this is a must see. Easy A is a story about a high school girl dealing with high school issues. Pretty much every high school girl can relate on some level.

It’s clever, it’s cute, and Emma Stone is fantastic in it. A great movie for gals all around.

The Butterfly Effect (2004)

This is a good movie if you want to think. The Butterfly Effect is definitely a brain teaser and it has Ashton Kutcher in it so what more do you really need?

This sci-fi thriller will have you on the edge of your seat and keep you guessing the whole time. The plot is interesting and the ending will catch you off guard, but it’s a great movie overall.

About Time (2013)

This is a movie for all my hopeless romantics out there. Tim (the main character) discovers he can travel in time and he uses this ability to score the girl of his dreams. If that doesn’t make you smile, then I don’t know what will.

About Time is endearing and will have you smiling and crying the whole time. It’s the perfect movie for a girl’s night in. Grab some popcorn and candy and throw on this movie.

The Martian (2015)

This movie is out of this world (ha). It’s about an astronaut who gets stranded on Mars and must figure out what to do.

Matt Damon does a phenomenal job along with all the other actors.

Yet another movie with a great cast. The Martian will keep you on your toes but is equally as charming as it is interesting. If you’re looking for a movie that will wow you, The Martian is the way to go.

Prisoners (2013)

If you’re looking for a scary movie, this is a good choice. Prisoners is a thriller about an investigation of a kidnapping.

Jake Gyllenhaal does a fantastic job as the detective who is assigned to the case and Hugh Jackman plays the father of one of the girls who gets kidnapped.

The plot is riveting and the end will make you furious because you’ll never see it coming.

Tangled (2010)

Last, but certainly not least is this adorable animated comedy. Tangled is the story of Rapunzel with a modern-day twist.

You won’t drop your smile throughout this entire movie. It’s cute, it’s lively, and it’ll make you feel like a kid again.

Also, an added plus, it’s good for all ages. Kids love it, teens love it, and even parents might enjoy it.

Definitely give Tangled a try.

Movie night should never be a hard decision. Pop some popcorn and throw on one of these movies for a great night.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
