Summer is a great time because you have a lot of time on your hands to do pretty much whatever you want. If it isn't prime tanning hours, there's no better way to pass the day than to sit on the couch and binge-watch your favorite Netflix show. Plus, we all know that there is only one thing better than binge-watching, binge drinking. So, I've compiled a list of the best that Netflix has to offer expertly paired with the best that the liquor store has to offer.

1. "Gossip Girl" & Vodka Sodas

Of course, the most basic of white girl shows pairs with the most basic of white girl drinks. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love both, which is what makes them the perfect pairing. Plus, all of the vodka might actually make it seem kind of OK that Serena and Dan end up together, even though their parents kinda used to be married. You'll also find yourself contemplating life's biggest questions, such as how Serena's hair is so perfect all of the time.

2. "Orange is the New Black" & Margaritas

In "OITNB," upper-middle class woman Piper Chapman is sentenced to serve time in prison for a crime that she committed years ago. This show is all about how she adjusts from her perfect life (seriously, the woman owned an artisanal soap company) to life behind bars. The main point is that she has to make compromises. This makes Margaritas the perfect pairing. Why is that, you might ask? It's because even if you don't have a fancy Margarita maker, you can still get sufficiently drunk with a few compromise, which is really what it's all about. $8 worth of Target's finest margarita mix and a couple ounces of Jose will soon have you singing along to the opening credits and telling your friends you could totally survive in prison.

3. "Grey's Anatomy" & Beer

It's an unlikely pairing, right? Well, how else are you going to sucker your boyfriend into watching Meredith Grey almost die every two episodes? If you can manage not to turn your Netflix & Chill into a Netflix & Ugly Cry by the end of every episode, he might even stick around to watch a whole season with you. You can even turn it into a fun drinking game and shotgun every time when someone discovers a long-lost sibling.

4. "The Office" & Wine

You have to be careful when pairing things with wine. Wine and a comedy like "The Office" is perfect because of all of the shows out there, it most likely won't be the one to make you cry and/or text your ex (as long as you stay far away from Pam and Jim's wedding episode).

5. "Friends" & Shots

This is where you really get to have some fun. Nothing says "I'll be there for you" like doing a round of shots with your besties. Shots are a little aggressive for a night of Netflix on the couch, you may say. However, this is absolutely untrue. You can really personalize this one and take a shot after pretty much anything. If someone mentions that Monica used to be fat, take a shot. If Chandler makes a pun, take a shot. If Ross says, "We were on a break?" make it 18 shots (front and back).

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
