You might be sick of this song already, but we all know that just means we need to hear it in a different way! Of course no one can ever beat Adele, but the creativity behind taking an incredible song with an incredible voice and changing it into something else is amazing. Here are my top 5 covers of Adele's "Hello," because let's be honest, we're never getting sick of this song.
1. Keven Karla and La Banda
When I first started researching this, I thought I already knew the order in which I was going to put these, and then I heard this. Not only does this girl have an incredible voice, but to take a song and translate it, still keeping the same rhythm and beauty in the lyrics is insanely difficult. For that, these two get number 1.
2. Lydia Lee
I really can't put this list together and not include Ms. Lee's interpretation. When I first heard this I got goosebumps. At first, she doesn't do the belts that Adele does, but her softness is almost intoxicating. And then you hear the full range of her voice. If you don't get goosebumps, turn it up and replay it.
3. Taps
I had never heard of Taps before, but his voice just fits this song so well. Its a nice change from the usual covers. What I love about his cover is the emotion that he puts into his voice. He's the closest I've heard to Rod Stewart in a long time.
4. Sam Tsui, Casey Breves, KHS
These boys have been my favorite youtube singers for a long time now. And it was no surprise when their cover of "Hello" knocked me just like all the others that they do. Sam and Casey have a set of voices that are incomparable. Kurt is an amazing arranger, and the drums in this just bring out this song so much.
5. Meghan Tonjes
I feel like Joni Mitchell would be proud of this interpretation. She takes the usual cover and spins it a bit, giving it a softer tune than the original. Though her voice is a bit shaky, its strong and beautiful. And Tonjes delivers a beautiful interpretation of the amazing song.
