June 25th, 2009 was an extremely terrible day for music. The King of Pop was pronounced dead at the UCLA Medical Center via a Drug Overdose. Michael lived a very complicated life while constantly living under the limelight. I remember watching an interview with Slash about Jackson and Slash said that he was scared to get close to Michael because of how famous he was. Michael was set to embark on the "This Is It" tour that July. Michael said that this tour would specifically highlight "the songs his fans want to hear." I miss Michael Jackson and I hope you do to because he left a legacy we will never forget. Here are some of the reasons I miss him today:

1. The Moonwalk

Nobody will be able to mimic that moonwalk and it is a signature move that nobody can claim. The movement of his body is effortless and brought entertainment to us for many years. I only wish I would have been able to see it live before he died.

2. The Timeless Songs

I can assure you that Thriller will be played at middle school dances until we run out of middle school dances. Whenever I hear a Michael Jackson song, I just want to get up and start dancing no matter where I am. He has written songs that have already become classics and even if you are not aware of older music, you are aware of Michael Jackson.

3. His Giving Personality

Michael was always a fans first kind of guy. If you just listen to him at his award acceptances, you will see how humbled he was to win those awards and just to perform for his fans. He loved everybody and everybody loved him. He just had a giving personality.

It has been 7 years without one of my biggest idols and the more I think about it, I think Michael dying was what he needed. He was always under constant scrutiny from the media and all he wanted was to live a normal life. I know he is up in heaven looking down on all of us. RIP the King of Pop.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
