Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and the best of all there is new music playing over the airwaves. Here are 10 songs that you definitely need to download ASAP.
1. "I Want You To Know" By Zedd (featuring Selena Gomez)
This is a great dancing song. It's light and fun and it brings all the fun of an EDM song with Zedd along with the fun pop lyrics that we expect from Selena Gomez. Some are starting to think that this release means that their could be a relationship brewing between the two, and if songs like this are the result then I am all for it.
2. "Outside" by Calvin Harris (featuring Ellie Goulding)
This is another song that is a fun EDM/pop mix. I think that the beats pair so well with the words. I love this song cause when you hear it on the radio, you just gotta start dancing... and it's fabulous.
3. "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding
This song alone was enough to make me want to go see "50 Shades Grey"! While the entire 50 Shades soundtrack is incredible, this particular song is really great. Her voice is so interesting and really adds to the overall song and it has all the benefits of being a love song without being too mushy.
4. "Bills" by LunchMoney Lewis
This is definitely the red headed step child of my playlist. This song is a little bit out there for what I normally listen to, but I am obsessed with it. LunchMoney Lewis isn't really a regular on the American Top 40 playlist so I think it's refreshing to hear a new voice. The song is kind of old school jazzy, but still has an electronic-like feel to it that keeps it current.
5. "Nobody Love" by Tori Kelly
Tori Kelly is a rare gem. She has an absolutely beautiful, soulful voice and I can't tell you how excited I am that her songs are finally getting more radio play. This song is really upbeat and will definitely have you dancing around the room singing into your hairbrush.
6. "Goodbye" by WhoIsFancy
7. "You're So Beautiful" by Empire Cast
I am addicted to Empire; it is an amazing show. I am upset that the season is over, but on the plus side, the cast released a full length album that I can obsess over until season two starts. This is one of the songs from the show that Jussie Smollett, Yazz, Terrance Howard and Taraji P Henson are all on. This is supposed to be an older song with hints of pop in it, making it impossible to sit down when it's playing; you just gotta dance it out.
8. "Masterpiece" by Jessie J
This is another one of my favorites that I wish got a little more attention. I love this song because of the message. It's all about not being perfect, but working on it: “I still fall on my face sometimes / And I can't colour inside the lines / 'Cause I'm perfectly incomplete / I'm still working on my masterpiece"
9. "Trampoline" by Kalin & Myles
This song by pop duo Kalin & Myles is defintley one of my guilty pleasure songs. The lyrics make it really fun and you can definitely dance around the apartment to it while you are getting ready to go out. And who knows... "Trampoline" might definitely become one of those songs they play way too much on the radio and we all become obsessed with.
10. "One Last Time" by Ariana Grande
If you are anything like me you were obsessed with "One Less Problem," "Love Me Harder" and "Bang Bang" and the Princess of Pop, Ariana has done it again with yet another hit. This song is on the slower side which is where I think she excels and it's about just being with that person you love and wanting to hang on to them. I love the drums during the bridge and the chorus in the song because it just makes you want to move.
