1. "Uptown Funk"
This song is literally everywhere. You can't escape it. At parties, on the radio, in your local grocery store. And as much as I hate to admit it... I love it. Yes, it's from last year, but everyone's still blasting it with no shame. It's a little overplayed in my opinion, but no one can say it isn't fun or catchy without lying. It makes you want to dance, and who doesn't love dancing?
2. "Take Me To Church"
Another catchy song with an interesting underlying message. The video portrays a young couple in a same-sex relationship, and the lyrics explore the dynamics behind the relationship and the backlash the couple receives from the religious world. It's not as catchy and upbeat as Uptown Funk, but Hozier has an amazing voice, and this song is hard not to sing along to. If you like this song, you should check out "From Eden" and "Work Song", two other incredible songs by Hozier.
3. "FourFiveSeconds"
Rihanna and Kanye team up with Paul McCartney in what might be the strangest group to ever collaborate. Don't get me wrong; there's all kinds of talent in this song, but I don't think anyone would have guessed these three would ever work together. The Beatle's guitar performance is outstanding, and even though we don't get to hear him sing, Rihanna and Kanye sound great together.
4. "Sugar"
Nothing that has ever come from Adam Levine's mouth has been bad. This is another fun song to sing along to. Maroon 5 is known for their catchy party songs you can dance along to, and they deliver again with this song off of their album "V." The music video is awesome and heart-warming, too; I highly suggest watching it. Adam Levine can do no wrong.
5. "I'm Not The Only One"
This song, one of British pop star Sam Smith's singles, won't be one you'll pregame to before you go out on Friday, but it's a great song nonetheless. A little slower, with a sad message, but Smith's vocals are great and the music video is beautifully directed as well. There's a version that features A$AP Rocky as well, which is just as good (if not better).
6. "Jealous"
It's the same Jonas Brother with a waaay different sound and look. Nick Jonas has grown up, split ways with his brothers and ventured out on his own to release a light-hearted song that is IMPOSSIBLE to not sing along to (extra points if you can hit the high note). This isn't the same actor you watched in "Camp Rock" on Disney Channel; this Jo Bro is all grown up now, and looks... uh, I mean, sounds incredible.
7. "IDFWU"
Big Sean and E-40 collaborate to make a fun, angsty song that everyone can relate to. I'm not sure if it's scientifically proven yet, but I heard that the more vehemently you sing this, the more you dislike your ex. Sounds about right to me.
8. "7/1"
From the Queen Bee herself, this song will make you want to dance and belt out the lyrics right along with her. Another hit from Beyonce's self-entitled album, and the music video will make you love her even more (is that possible?). Trying to emulate her dance moves will now move up several spots on your bucket list. And the message in it is unbeatable: DON'T SPILL THE ALCOHOL!
9. "No Type"
Right when this came out, I knew it was going to be played at every frat party on campus for the rest of the year. It's catchy, fun to rap along with and video is fun to watch, too. Rae Sremmurd is an up-and-coming pair that will be out with more hit singles in the near future, so watch out for them.
10. "Riptide"
This one's a little lesser-known, but it's still awesome. Vance Joy is the artist, and this song off of his latest album "Dream Your Life Away" is beautifully written and very catchy. The music video is a little different that what we're used to, but it doesn't matter because the song is so great. Listen to more off of "Dream Your Life Away" and you won't be disappointed.
