Now that midterms are finally over, we get to sit back, relax, and explore the destination we've dreamed of experiencing for the past 2 months. Here is the definitive ranking of the top 10 places for you should go for spring break!
10. Your favorite bagel place
You've waited months for a real bagel. All puffy and buttered and glistening. It's the most beautiful sight you've ever seen. Besides, you know, like an ocean or something.
9. Your high school hang out
Maybe nostalgia has gotten the best of you, or maybe your high school friends actually have the same spring break as you/ are still a part of your life. Either way, you can't help but whipping around, windows down to that random spot you guys spent all those days laughing, or arguing about whether "Friends" or "How I Met Your Mother" is better. I don't know your friends.
8. The best pizza place in town
Yes, you're stopping there before you even get home. Yes, you're stuffing you're face. No, you're not ordering just one slice.
7. Your best friends house
FaceTime can't beat actual face time with your best friend. Whether you're laying on the floor, not even speaking, but just soaking up each others presence, or drinking wine and catching up all night- your best friends house is definitely the spot.
6. Your couch
Netflix? Check. Take out? Check. Moving any time soon? Not a chance.
5. The Mall
With all that money you saved by not going on a real spring break, you can afford to buy 3 bathing suits, 2 cover ups, and a nice pair of sunglasses... all of which you wish you could actually wear before May.
4. In the arms of your dog
3. The deli
You have needed this Italian Combo in your life longer than you've realized. You will probably bump into at least 3 people from high school while you're there, but who won't bump into high school acquaintances over spring break? That bacon egg and cheese will be way worth it. Probably better than any piña colada you could have had in Cancún.
2. Your bathroom
No matter if you have your own, or share with your entire family, there is nothing like cushy toilet paper, a shower in your shower, or washing your face in your sink... and you know --whatever else you do in the bathroom.
1. Your bed
As you slip into those familiar clean sheets, (that you won't have to wash in two weeks --shout out to the 'rents) and your head hits that perfectly fluffed pillow, you drift into the most peaceful and lovely sleep you have had in a long time.
Although you aren't laying on the beach with a drink in your hand, you realize that no hotel staff could make a vacation more pleasant than your family. Except maybe a hotel staff wouldn't shout in the morning as they get ready for the bus, and you don't have a pool in your backyard, and wait-- it's only 45 degrees... When's the next flight to Miami!?
