My Top 10 Favs On Snapchat
www.techcrunch.com

I, Taleisha, am an Snapchat addict. Not as in creating snaps per say, but as in watch all my friends and the famous people I follow. Now I know that I’m not the only one. Accepting my fate as an addict, I wanted to spill the tea on some of my favs.

10. Teyana Taylor & Iman Shumpert, @Teymana Shaylor

The engaged couple gives us hilarious moments together and apart. We get to see cute footage of the adorable baby girl Iman jr. who they call "Junie" Her side-eyes alone is enough to follow. One of their recent funny back to back moments was when the couple were having a sing-off with each other and brought their friends along for the ride.

9. Kali Uchis, @itsuchisbabyy

Colombian artist, Kali Uchis gives us an interesting insight to her world. We get to see her bae, hear her lovey acapella (reminiscent of early Amy Winehouse) and a personal seat of the tour life. I love when she snaps her Netflix binging moments and her reactions to our guilty pleasures of ratchet reality TV.

8. Joey Bada$$, @badmonjozif

Pro Era's ringleader, Joey Bada$$ gives us a very exclusive look in his world. Him onstage overseas, photo shoots, and him recording new music, we see a fun life to live. Then when he comes back home to good ole Brooklyn, hanging out with him family and friends, we realize that he is just a regular young adult in his 20's enjoying the ride of adulthood like all of us.

7. Odd Future's & Loiter Squad's Jasper Dolphin, @jasperdolphin

Funny man, Jasper Dolphin shows us the good life. Lots of partying, tour life with Tyler, The Creator and Taco, and his natural comedic geniusness. He also gives amazing commentary on sports (not a big fan) and is a great voice over on reality TV. The main highlights are him recording Tyler and Tyler finding out then lashing out. It's awkwardly funny and gets me every time.

6. ScHoolboy Q, @hoovaq

Groovy Tony is another favorite of mine. He is the friend that always tells the harsh jokes but they're so funny and have a hint of truth. We see his cute daughter, Joy, and her playing sports, joyriding (not pun intended) with her dad, and her accomplishments in school. We get to see both sides of Q and I can't decide which one I like more.

5. Kelis, @kelisofficial

The inspiration of alternative black girls everywhere, Kelis blessed us with a front seat in her life. Being a musician, chef, and mommy, her life is very busy. She gives us more tips and trick for delicious plates and hopefully some hair trick and exclusives to the studio. I girl can dream right?

4. Jhene Aiko, @jhene316

The soulstress that is still sailing shows it is possible to have your cake and eat it too. By balancing her mommy duties and her career we see her on the road and also at home. She gives us tiny hints on new music with people that we wouldn't expect so soon but makes sense. (Hint: John Mayer)

3. SZA, @itsjustsza

TDE's songstress, SZA, has been more active on Snapchat. We've been seeing more of her home life with family back in New Jersey. Anticipating on her sophomore release, Z, all we have it the small clips she gives us in the studio. She needs to stop playing with people's emotions! DON'T DO US LIKE FRANKIE DID!

2. Queen Badu (Erykah Badu), @badubotron

The Analog Girl in a Digital has completed our lives more by making this snapchat public! We see her lovely home in Texas, and her gorgeous children way more than we should. She drops massive gems about life, love, and happiness. I love seeing her garden and her tips of what to grow (Her kitchen is beautiful and so is her home).

1. Solange, @nappyandsnappy

If Badu is the Queen and Kelis the princess, then Solange is the protege. It is about time this snapchat is public. We get to hear her lovely voice and see her making music all over. We also get to see her home in New Orleans and her life as a mom with her son Juelz. She give great music recommendations and watching her and her hubby are true #relationshipgoals. We've seen her mom and dad, hopefully we get a sister, sister moment with Beyonce too?

These were my top 10 favs on Snapchat that are the most active. Beside listing Rihanna, Dj Khaled, and Snoop Dogg, I want to give other artists some shine especially some you may not know well or never knew they even had a Snapchat. So proceed to follow all 10 and live life through them just like me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
