"Orange Is the New Black" is by far one of the best shows that Netflix has ever had on it. It's full of female prison drama and multiple varieties of humor. I have yet to find many people who truly dislike this show, and I can safely say that one of the best parts of "OITNB" is the characters. This ranking goes from 10 to 1, which will end with the best character in my opinion as #1.
10. Chang
There have been zero times that I have not laughed when Chang has been in a scene. She makes absolutely no sense, and that's probably one of the reasons you just can't resist loving her.
9. Norma
Though she has nothing to say (ever), she is Red's sidekick and just so happens to be precious and remind you of a grandma. Everyone loves a good grandma-like character.
8. Lorna Morello
What a nut. Morello is one of the cuter inmates who may be borderline extremely crazy, but makes you laugh and smile whenever you see her. She also got married to a random man she met through prison mail, so she's got it goin' on.
7. Piper
It's hard not to love the main character of a show. She may get on your nerves when she tries to outdo her stereotype of a "rich, white female," but she's clever and truly makes "OITNB" what it is.
6. Daya
She's one of the sweeter ones whom you really feel for. You can't help but sympathize for Daya throughout her pregnancy (especially when Bennett leaves) and love her no matter what.
5. Red
If there is anyone you would want on your side while locked up, it's Red. She always has her girls' backs, and she's a crazy Russian lady, so she's naturally a combination of scary and hilarious.
4. Poussey
Chill is an understatement when it comes to Poussey. She's always down to clown, and her relationship with Taystee is exactly what you would want if you were in prison and needed a bestie.
3. Nicky Nichols
She's the baddest chick in the bunch. Never once has she been anything but the realest, and although she kinda fudges up with drugs every once in awhile, you can't help but still root for her.
2. Crazy Eyes
Everything that comes out of this character's mouth is pure gold. You never know what to expect, and that's one of the main reasons we all love her.
1. Taystee
She's everything you'd want to be if you were a prisoner in Litchfield. She's one of the funnier inmates who always makes you laugh because of her natural sass and witty comments and actually has a brain (even though she did land herself in prison).
Needless to say, "OITNB" is full of such amazing characters. The fact that it takes a year or more for a new season to come out is a whole other story, but there are genuinely very few reasons to dislike this show.
