Yes, it may be crazy for me to look forward to the holidays as Halloween has not come yet. As the holiday season is upon us, it's important to remember some of the best holiday traditions each year. Each year some of my favorite holiday traditions consist of things that I've been doing with my family for years.
1. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
It's the one tradition that I love for Thanksgiving and look forward to watching it every year. It's a tradition for some families to see the parade in New York City. It's interesting to see who performs each year and who is showcased in the parade.
2. Black Friday Shopping
Every Thanksgiving, millions of people partake in the 'Black Friday' tradition, making sure they buy everything they need for the gift giving season. It can be dangerous for all, but every year people shop in stores or online. It is the season of shopping and spending money, but is it worth it going out over night to find the best deals?
3. The Changing Weather
This time of year the weather begins to take a turn for what most people say, the worst. It's when the leaves finish falling and then...BAM...snow. It's upon us. The cold weather will be here before any of us know it. It will be the time of year people are upset with the windy, chilly weather before the snow begins to fall.
4. The Holiday Movies
With Thanksgiving and Christmas sneaking up on us holiday lovers, we cannot wait for the movies that hit the Hallmark Channel come November. It's our favorite time of year for us theater-goers because all of the best movies of the year premiere during this time of year. Who is bringing the popcorn?
5. Holiday Music
It always feels like holiday music always debuts on the radio the day after Halloween, but am I complaining? No, of course not because I think it's worth listening to for two months straight. What? Yes, I think it is a little crazy for music to debut that soon, but people feed off of the music that is played. I hope that the music will start a little before Thanksgiving, but a person can only hope.
