Tomboy X Product Review

As a tomboy, I can tell you that being comfortable can be a challenge. Female standards for dress and appearance can be exhausting and entirely too demanding. Individuality is stressed so much now but at the same time it's shoved down and snuffed out. It's a delicate balance. I firmly believe in being yourself no matter what.

That's what Tomboy X is about. They are all for helping you be comfortable being yourself. I don't remember how I found out about them but I'm certainly glad I did. It's clear that the two women who run and started this brand really care about what they do and it's clear in their productions.

After doing a bit of browsing I went ahead and bought the black with red 6" Fly style. I was quite excited about it and I waited not-so-patiently for my package to arrive.

I had read several reviews, both on their site and off, about Tomboy X and their products and they all seemed to be really positive. I had very high expectations for these underwear, and considering that the one pair, on sale even, had cost me about $20, I really wanted them to stand up to their reputation.

It turns out that they did. They were softer than I'd expected and the waistband was actually felt silky to the touch. I was already impressed. They actually fit very well. Tomboy X designs their underwear to fit women's bodies, so instead of the straight shape they'd have if they were emulated after men's boxers, they have a curve to them which fits feminine shapes very nicely.

As I went through the day there was no visible difference, but I could feel the difference. I felt a lot more comfortable with myself; like it was meant to be. I was also just more comfortable in general. The overall feeling was fairly new to me, but it was very easy to get used to.

I usually wear an undershirt under whatever clothes I'm wearing which I tuck in. Unfortunately, that hides the Tomboy X waistband. I was quite proud to be wearing this underwear, so much so that I actually considered leaving my shirt untucked so the waistband was visible whenever I moved.

The thing I was most skeptical of was the statements in the reviews claiming that they didn't ride up when you moved. Based on past experience with other shorts that didn't seem possible but Tomboy X proved me wrong. Normal activities, like walking and sitting and such, didn't make the legs rise hardly at all. That sold me on it. To say the least, I was impressed.

They held up nicely through washing too. It only seemed to make them a bit softer. They didn't shrink when I washed them and I was super excited that it was time to wear them again.

I put them to the test when I wore them to my cousin's wedding. They stood up through wearing them as shorts under my bridesmaid dress. At the reception, where there was a lot of high energy dancing they did rise a bit up my legs. But, when there's a lot of movement like there is in dancing that's to be expected.

Overall I was really happy with Tomboy X. They fit well, wore well and over all just made me feel good. The only issue I have is the price. They really are worth the money though and I will most likely be buying from them again.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Tomboy X in any way. I am just a happy, satisfied customer.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
