Tom Perez Signals The Future For The Democratic Party And It's Pretty Bleak

With the election of Tom Perez as the DNC chair, the democrats have shown they did not learn their lesson after the past presidential election.

This past weekend former secretary of labor Tom Perez was elected chairman of the democratic national committee with 235 votes versus Ellison's 200. With this pick, the Democratic Party has assured that they will lose not only in the 2018 midterms, but also the 2020 presidential election. The Democrats have found a replacement for Debbie Wasserman Schultz because, in a sense, Tom Perez and Debbie serve the same people. The donors who backed and supported Obama and Clinton have found a tool that will serve them and not the democratic base. After losing the 2016 election to Donald Trump some would think the higher ups in the democratic party might do some self-reflection and acknowledge their flaws so the results in 2020 presidential race would be different than that of 2016 election. Sadly I think nothing else crossed their minds other than the money they could get serving wall street interest just like the Clinton's and Debbie Wasserman Schultz herself.

Tom Perez proved his dishonesty at a CNN democratic leadership debate after being asked a question on the DNC primary. Was the election rigged in the case of Clinton vs. Sanders? Now obviously, the last DNC chair, Debbie, had to step down for this very reason, so the answer should be easy to give if you are willing to tell the truth, Tom Perez was not.

Everyone on the face of the earth knows this primary was rigged in more than one way versus Bernie Sanders. The media was trying to write hit pieces on his record, religious background, and philosophy before the states even started voting. Not to mention how the former DNC chair was hired to the Clinton campaign after having to leave the DNC chair position because of an email leak which was a blatant anti-Bernie memo for others working inside the DNC. That email was aimed on discussing ways to delegitimize Bernie's campaign. Now the very next DNC chair is trying to act like primary was not rigged? It shows dishonesty, people do not buy the act these politicians put on anymore. Tom Perez is no different. The DNC might have handed the senate races in 2018 straight over to the republicans. Quite possibly the next presidential election depending on who they choose to run. That being said last time they pushed for Hillary, quite literally pushed cheated and lied to get the nominee they wanted and she lost. You feel proud of yourselves DNC elite? The DNC literally picked the one person people hated more than Trump. If the DNC is to learn anything from this at least let it be that Clinton will never be president. Democrats will not elect a former Goldwater girl/Republican who labels herself a democrat, it will not happen. Find a third party you like because the DNC is now a landfill filled with nothing but trash.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
