On Friday October 7, 2016, a controversial video of Trump being interviewed by Billy Bush back in 2005 while he was still hosting Access Hollywood was leaked to the public. The video displays Presidential nominee Donald Trump bragging about being able to grope any woman and kiss them without asking permission and other lewd comments about women. Bush was suspended by NBC due to his role and language he used during that interview.
Billy Bush issued a statement through NBC saying, "Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed. It's no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago - I was younger, less mature and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry." An apology was guaranteed by both men, but it does not erase what is now in public. However, Bush stating that he was young is no excuse. He said it was no excuse but made made it an excuse. Everyone has a brain, and they should use their to stop themselves from posting a video like that.
Let this be a reminder that everyone can see what you post online. What Bush and Trump said is very rude, but they just put their jobs in jeopardy, and it could end badly for both of them.
Many teenagers and college students are constantly told by their parents to think before they post. Having beer bottles or pictures that are not work friendly can cause a person to not be offered a job position due to what they have posted.
So next time you plan to post a picture or video that looks inappropriate online to social media, think of this video that was leaked and then hopefully you won't post.
