Waiting on the right person can be very difficult, but do not get discouraged or feel hopeless. That person is out there. Whether you know them or not, they are in this world thinking about you, too. God has perfectly made someone for you to love with all of your heart.
In His word it says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24) God is telling us to pray for our future spouse. Pray for their health. Pray for their family. Pray that they know the Lord and are serving Him every day.
I know about waiting because I have waited on my "Prince Charming" for 18 years and I am still wondering when he will make his grand entrance into my life. Yes, it has been hard. It has been difficult when my friends have been in relationships, and I have been the one with no date. Yes, I have never been in a serious relationship, but I have been a part of an epic love story. A love story incomparable to any out there. That love story is that of Jesus, coming down to save warped and crooked sinners like you and me, the greatest love story of all.
I have this constant reminder that God has a great plan for me. He has set someone aside and that person is for me only. That gives me motivation to not get sad or upset because I am single, but smile because I know he is out there waiting on me, too.
This person is going to love you with their whole being (as best as they can), help you grow in your relationship with Christ, and love the Lord with all of their heart. Wait for that. Wait for that person.
If you are single, be strong. Do not think you need a romantic relationship to complete you. This is a time to find yourself. Live your life in service to God, and in His time, He will reward you. The closer you move towards God, the closer that person will move towards you.
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
