Dear Christian Girl,

I am here to tell you that there is a man out there that Christ has specifically set apart just for you. Stop looking around and striving to get attention from guys that are not who God would want you to be with. In His timing, He will reveal this man who is set apart for you. Now, I understand that this is going to require some patience, but patience is key when looking for a potential boyfriend. You don’t want to give your heart to someone that will eventually break it by not treating you right. In Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) it states, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” To God, your heart is precious, guard it, and wait for the man who will one day treasure it.

I also want to tell you that you cannot fully love someone until you fully love Jesus Christ. This goes for your future guy too. He cannot fully love you until he fully loves Jesus Christ. I also understand that it is extremely easy to get caught up in this world. However, you need to remember that your relationship with Jesus Christ will set the tone of every other relationship in your life. Fix your eyes on Him and watch how He changes things.

Jesus is the epitome of a godly man, because He is the godly man. He loves you and He cares for you like no other person on this earth will. The way Christ loves the church is how a husband should love his wife. If a guy wants to love you like Christ loves the church, he needs to be fully devoted in the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV) states, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” Look for a man that can replace “love” in those verses of scripture.

A relationship where you can pray, worship, and passionately pursue God in, is ALWAYS worth the wait. No matter what this world has been saying about finding the right man, the Bible has all of the answers. Don’t put your hope in this world, Jesus Christ is the one you should always put your hope in. John 3:16 (NIV) states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” There will be no one on this earth that will love you like Christ loves you. He made the ultimate sacrifice of love by dying on the cross for each and every one of us. So before you get into a relationship, remember that the best place for a relationship to start is in the hands of God.

Sincerely,

The Girl Who was Once in Your Shoes

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
