To the ones who never showed my boyfriend how to love.

8

Shame. Shame on you. How dare you deprive this boy, or anybody, the joy of love. When he was a tiny child, full of innocence, you never showed him what it's like to be loved. He is 20 years old and nobody has shown him what love feels like. It's heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking because this man, this man is the nicest person I have ever met. This man would stick his neck out for anybody, but he never had somebody do the same for him. You don't see the trauma and sadness in his eyes like I do. You don't feel his energy lower greatly when he talks about his childhood like I do. Do you even know what makes them happy? Did you even bother to try? There's more to raising a child than ust putting a roof over their head. If you don't give that child love and affection, you're etting them up for failure. I'm 20 years old. I'm 20 years old and I will do everything I possibly can to show this man, my boyfriend, how to give and feel affection. So shame on you. He has no idea how to respond or give affection. I'll teach how to with great pride and honor. I will do your duty. I will do what you failed to do when raising this young man. Do you even know the potential he's capable of? Have you ever said that you're proud of him? I don't think you have. You don't see that half a second quirky smile he gives whenever I compliment him. You don't see his greatness. Those things you call flaws in him, I call perfection. They say nobody is perfect, I believe that less and less every time I look at him. You know what's heartbreaking? The fact he has no confidence in himself because you never told him how great he is. You never took time to care for him. I can't love and compliment him enough. I hope you feel that shame. It is such a shame. Good think he has me now and I'm not going anywhere.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
