Summer break is shortly approaching and it truly is a bittersweet moment. I am very eager to be able to return to the normalcy of being in my own home, spending time with my family, and seeing old friends. However, I will be leaving behind great new friends, my home away from home, and of course you…

You have become an extremely important part of my life this past year. We were able to experience college life and spend so many moments together. You made the college transition so much easier for me. Wanting to go home every weekend turned into wanting to stay to spend it with you. I am going to miss having you constantly around at all times of the day and being able to see your smile whenever I am having a bad day. I have taken it for granted all of the times I ran through your door to tell you something I am excited about or all of our late night walks around campus because we both were bored. We have created so many memories that I will miss while we are apart.

Many people have asked me what will happen when we leave each other and are hundreds of miles apart for the summer. As far as I am concerned nothing will change except our relationship will only get stronger. It may be hard at times, but I will look forward to Friday nights when I sprint into your arms after a long week and will be excited to take on adventures with you all weekend. We may be far apart during the week, but you will always be on my mind. Our relationship will only grow with distance because distance means so little when someone means so much.

The last day of this semester, as we move out, will be tough for the both of us. I am already preparing for many tears as we say our final goodbyes to each other. I am so lucky to be able to have someone so great in my life that will make saying goodbye so hard. I want you to know that I do not look at this as a goodbye, though...I look at this as a see you later. I will miss you very much and will be counting down the days until I see you next.

Always remember that our hearts are bigger than any distance in between us!
