To The Guy Who Has Changed My Way Of Thinking,

This is not how what we planned. Neither of us wanted a relationship but it just sort of happened.

Let’s start at the beginning, we were thrust together as dance partners. It was mainly awkward because we had never talked before and had to do a sultry dance together. How awkward right? But we laughed our way through it, constantly cracking jokes and picking on each other.

That was the beginning of an amazing friendship. We laughed, we cried, we really bonded.

I really never thought I would find another person who would actually make me happy. You see, someone before you decided to break my heart. They decided that I was not good or fun enough and decided to cheat on me, with two people actually.

But you made me feel important and loved.

Eventually, our friendship blossomed. We became best friends and then we started to fall in love.

We were talking nonstop and hanging out just as much. We seemed to be inseparable. Between the movies, coffee dates, the countless phone calls that spanned hours, and late night drives, we were spending a lot of time together.

Fast forward more than a year later. You are still my best friend and I love you infinitely.

We have had our trials and tribulations. Those multiple trips to the hospitals, the fact that we lived over one hundred miles away from each other throughout the whole school year, and the many tanks of gas we had to use to come and see each other. It was all worth it.

From doing theatre to starting new jobs, we have been there for each other. Going to Prom and being there when we graduated, we had accomplished a lot of the milestones together.

Of course, we have fought sometimes but we never stay angry for long. That is what happens when you fall in love with your best friend. You can not stay mad for very long because you miss them or want to tell them something that happened.

We will have to tackle the next three years of me being away at school but we made it through the first year, we can make it anywhere.

We have been in each other's lives for more than a year and the time has flown by in my opinion. I still remember the first day, our awkward first dance together.

You are my boyfriend but you are still my best friend too. One of the first people I want to tell about my day is you. You mean a lot to me. Like I tell you all the time, you are my superhero.

So, on the day of your 20th birthday, this is one of my gifts to you, an open letter that everyone can read about how I really feel about you. I love you a lot, kid. I do not know where I would be without you.

Happy 20th Birthday!

Your girlfriend,

Kelsey

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
