Well we are off. We are off, because these next six weeks are going to fly before our eyes. We are so close.
We have come so far. Honestly think back to move in day... When none of us knew a soul. Now look at us... We know each others stories. We know what we've come from, where we come from and where we want to go.
I am so blessed by all of you. Every day in the NZ, every Java Jay dinner, late night Starbs run, every laugh, tear, and hug, we've been through it all. We've all had our tough days rather it was nursing, boys or homesickness and may the tears shed in the NZ forever leave our mark. We've all had our best days ranging from dialing into the police station, rocking a test, paper chains and simply just being with one another.
This article is for all of you. For all of you who keep me coming back. For every time I say 'I need to go home' you all remind me how much I need Creighton and how much I need all of you.
Kelsey.
First off, could I have found a sweeter soul? No. I am so blessed by your kindness every day. Thank you for coming to my room when a rash randomly appears.
Thank you for catching all my tears when the days get too long, when the plane ride back wasn't long enough and when I simply just cry because let's face it, it happens far too often. We may spend more time in the neutral zone (NZ) than what is needed, in the lab on Monday's and in my room 'admiring' the Omaha skyline. I am so lucky to have you just a few doors down and to have you be a part of the journey ahead.
Kenzie (Roomie!!!).
Well I don't even know where to begin, because if next year isn't going to be the time of our lives, I'm not sure what will. I am so lucky that Lauren brought our friendship together. We've been through everything and back and I couldn't have asked for a better friend to come back to Omaha with. You always know how to make me smile or laugh whenever I need it. Thank you for making me realize my meaning of being here and how lucky I am to be attending this school. Coming back in August will not be as bad because it will feel like home.
Bri... Bridgie.
You are one of the few who understand the love for cbou, the State Fair, summers on the lake and overall Minnesota. Thank you for always being up to going home whenever we can haul out of the Big O for the weekend; I can't wait until we actually make it out of the Kiewit parking lot. Thank you for always reminding me grades don't define my intelligence and that I am going to be a great nurse. Long live the nights in the NZ, Thursday's at Old Chicago and the L's taken. Omaha is truly blessed by our presence.
Megs.
Do you even srat? You are one of the many blessings from the NZ. You always know how to calm the 'nurses' down once the physiology exams are posted. Your light for life is seen every day and your positivity is contagious. Everyone can always count on Megs to make their day a little brighter and a little more positive. I admire your bravery to stay in the Big O for six weeks over the summer, you're going far sister! I love that I have finally found someone who is as loud as me and loves to dance.
Jordan.
My RJGD girl!! Your genuine heart is truly one of a kind. Thank you for always having your door open whenever the futon is needed. Thank you for reminding all of us it's okay to cry and be sad but not to let that dictate how your day is going to go. You have the best advice and always know when to give it. Also love tearing up the Pi Phi date party dance floor with you; can't wait for the next four years! PPLAM!
Kenzie.
If you aren't the sweetest southern belle, I'm not sure who is. Your willingness to help anyone is something I, and many others I'm sure, admire about you. You will always have a smile on your face and no matter how stressed you may be, you don't let the stress get to you. Teach me your ways, please! Thank you for always greeting us with open arms as we return to campus from breaks. From OK to Omaha and every where in between, everyone has been blessed by your sweet presence.
Kelly... Kelldog.
You are one of the few who make facial expressions back at me and I love that. Your classic Kelly dance move is one that will never get old. Your optimism is something I strive to have. You never fail to remind us to look around and realize how many blessings we have surrounding us each and every day. Thank you for always coming to 7th floor when Kelsey and I are in need of some motivation, you've never failed to make us laugh. PPLAM!
Thank you all of you for reminding me how lucky I am to be blessed by all of you and overjoying presence everyday. Ladies, we have six weeks left in this city until we go home to Colorado, Minnesota, Illinois and Oklahoma. It's gone by so fast and we are so close. Thank you all for making me laugh, smile and go outside of my comfort zone. I can't wait for the next three years together. Love you all more than you know!
