Don't let the others take you down. Whatever you do, be yourself and be happy. No one can ever be too friendly, too loving, too careful, too safe, too anything. No one can take that from you and don't let them. You're nice to your co-workers not because you're flirting but because you're friendly and kind. You're nice to the people who've turned their back on you not out of pity, but because you know it is not worth it being mean and petty. You are doing great just the way you are, and that in itself is amazing. It is going to suck from time to time. People will take advantage of you and they will try to tear you down, but you must stand tall and not let them sway you away from being too friendly. There is and will never be anything wrong with being friendly. For wanting to bring a smile to other people's faces and putting your own feelings aside for the sake of others.
But there are times when you feel that you're too friendly and too worried about other people besides yourself, and you need someone looking out for you also. And when you take a step back from that and realize you have no one, that is when you ultimately break down. And you know what you have to do. You wake up the next morning and try even harder for other people. Because inside you're thinking that maybe, just maybe, if you're nicer and even more friendly than the day before, then someone will care for you as equally as you care for other people.
You know who you are. You know you're that girl. And from a girl who is also told that she was too friendly it came off flirty, or too friendly that it was obnoxious and annoying, it gets better. Positivity and happiness are so much better to live through than being negative and sad.
To the girl who is too friendly: Be proud of who you are and what you aim to be. Be there for people and never think less of it. The right person will come along and make everything you did worth it. Don't let others crush your spirit. You are beautiful inside and out! So show them that being friendly is an amazing trait to have.
