Hello, sir?
I've been watching you from across the bar. Your arm is around a girl you just met tonight. And by the looks of things, you are not getting it.
Clearly you're too drunk to realize how terrified she is of you. Your vision is so impaired you must not have seen the ten to twenty eye rolls she gave her friends. They pulled her away from you to try and save her from the awkwardness that accompanies people looking for hookups or relationships in a bar. She's not interested in your slurred speech and bad breath. But you're more persistent than a fly trying to escape through a class window. *Newsflash* You're not escaping where you are in the poor woman's mind.
And I'm offended.
As a man, I feel my reputation is being tarnished by your behavior. Do you understand why this is such a terrible thing? You have ABSOLUTELY ZERO right to put your filthy, alcohol-stained hands on any part of a woman.
This past Thursday night, I 'people-watched' at a bar in Dubuque. While I observed the interactions taking place throughout the night, I noticed guys were getting way too close and personal with some of the girls in attendance. In normal human interaction, I like my personal bubble, and you, sir, were WAY inside the bubble.
Oh, you bought her a drink? She doesn't owe you $#!+. You don't touch girls unless they are okay with it.
Oh, she danced with you? Still doesn't owe you $#!+. You're on the right track, but she didn't clear you to touch her.
Knowing your alcohol limits is essential to how you behave throughout the night and next day. By knowing how certain drinks make affect you, you can gauge how much you can drink before you get too stupid drunk.
It's okay to go to the bar, blow off some steam with your friends. I 100% support it.
But have some decency and keep your hands to yourself.
Sincerely,
The DD
