Here’s to the boys who have said: “We met too young” or “I wish I met you later in life.” These are the types of boys who do not want to commit to anything serious now, but they “might” want a future with you later. They want all the perks of a relationship without the title and maybe one day you can officially be together, when you both are not “too” young. Basically, they are saying, “Wait for me.” But what are you supposed to do in the meantime, take up pottery? WRONG.
At first, you almost take it as a compliment because they make you feel like you are the only one for them, talking about how great of a girl you are. But then they say, “I just wish I met you later in life.” This sounds like a line from a breakup when the relationship has not even started. They are saying all of these nice things but yet they still do not want to be in a relationship with you now. They may even try to blame it on the timing. But when exactly is it the right time to be together?
They claim that it is too soon to start dating, even though they can see themselves in the future being with you and possibly even marrying you. They say you are the type of girl that they can see spending the rest of their life with. If they can see that far into the future and can see you potentially getting married one day, why would they not want to start that now? Why wait?
Or they hit you with this excuse…They do not want to risk dating now and have it not work out. They say they do not want to ruin anything you guys have or could have because again we are just “too” young. They can sugarcoat it all they want but read between the lines ladies. What they are really saying is that they are not ready to commit to you and they want to experience the single life. They do not like you enough! They do not want to burn any bridges and want the satisfaction of knowing that you will be there when they are finally ready, if that ever happens.
Find someone who wants to be with you now, not in a couple of months or even years.
Hearing the statement: “We met too young” or “I wish I met you later in life” is hard, but do not think any less of yourself. It is their flaw, their mistake of not wanting you now. They are lucky to have even met you at all. Do not wait for these types of boys and for the chance of being with them, regardless of your feelings and the feelings that they say they have for you. Relationships are not easy, but you owe it to yourself to find someone who wants to give it a shot with you in the present, not just the future.
I can not answer any of these questions for you, because I do not have the answers and honestly I doubt they even do. Do not fall for these types of boys because trust me, you are NOT “too” young.
