You all know that I have two brothers, Scott and Sean who are my siblings by blood relation. However as a famous man from Supernatural named Bobby Singer once said,"Family don't end at blood, boy."
This statement is something that has become very true to me as I have grown up. I am lucky enough to have not two but three brothers. Two who share the same first name and middle name: Sean Michael. There is Sean Michael Perryman, intelligent college student and collegiate athlete.
We also have our other brother, Sean Michael Pierce, an amazing police officer and friend. "Big Sean" as we call him came into our lives about ten years ago. (Now that's a scary thought and I feel old.) He entered our lives when my older brother started marching band when he was in high school.
Sean is someone who has been there for my brothers and me during the best of times and the worst of times. He has helped all three of us in every single aspect he can whether it be just going for a late night McDonald's run or buying each of us a beer for our twenty-first birthday's.
He also is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to being at our defense and he is also the loudest laugh in the room. He has seen me at many of my up's and down's while helping me to the best of his ability. That varies from just sitting and listening to going back and forth with me on advice about girls for him and advice on boys for me.
People always ask,"Why don't you date him?" and I get a kick out of that. He is my brother and will always be my older brother. We may not like alike but he has been there for me more times than I can count offhand. Which is something I'll never be able to repay him for.
He always has a way to make sure my younger brother, the oldest brother, and I don't get into any fights when he is around. When he was around we all managed to get along while being locked in an escape room together for an entire hour. Oh, how wild that was.
I've said thank you to my two other brothers, now it is the time to say thank you to my third brother. Thank you for being a mentor, guide, and one of my closest friends for almost ten years now. For helping me through all of my boy problems whether it meant having a beer and listening to me complain or just going for some junk food with me. You always show Scott, Sean, and I unconditional love and support even if that means making fun of us sometimes.
Also, thank you for putting your life on the line every day when you go to work. Being a cop is a job that not many people I know could handle. You, however, are one of the best in the area and in your line of work.
Thanks for always being around "Big Sean."
